Reviews of Grand Hoyah Hotel

The room is very dirty as well as the aircon. Looks like it was not maintained or no cleaning at all. Curtain was ripped, don't mind to change a new one. But the important is the malfunction of the elevator. It is so hard to go up especially the old folks. Cannot sleep at night because of their noisy lizard. Not commendable to stay. Also the staff in the front desk is not approachable.

The hotel is conveniently located near malls and restaurants. It is also near the main gate going to the city of Olongapo. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was also good.

The hotel needed to upgrade with the amount I paid. My room had a very nice view. Mr Eric and others worked hard to comply with the guests needed. Happy to be here but the owner needs to renovate with the amount they charge.

Clean easy to access

The room was decent, and the balcony was nice. Unfortunately, there's a bar across from the hotel, and a karaoke bar downstairs. It was incredibly noisy until 3 or 4 in the morning, and I woke up restlessly, unable to fall asleep. As a result, I missed my alarm in the morning, which delayed my work.

The location is great; it's within walking distance of Ayala Center and the duty-free shopping mall, and also within walking distance of Subic Bay beach, making it very convenient.

The room is quite big.

The hotel is a bit old.

we stayed overnight at this hotel just this past weekend as we were attending a match dinner cruise. The hotel is a bit dated we noticed with the furnishings. The lobby is spacious, staff were accommodating & check in was fast Our room is on the 2nd floor & I find the twin deluxe room spacious,bed comfy but pillows kinda too soft for our liking. The aircon was ok & wifi is fine. However, there were issues with the bathroom as the WC was located beside the wall & sitting on it is a struggle specially if you are a tall person & the bidet, try reaching for it if you can! One more thing, the towels are wornout & yellowed, in need of replacement! Toilet amenities were provided & I was surprised there was a hair dryer! it seems that's a lot of items are in Chinese characters including the TV remote & the aircon remote. Staff disclosed that the hotel is owned by a ********* that's why! Anyway, the breakfast that came with our room is plated & is ok but there are breads, fruits, soup & noodles/ pasta too. Coffee could be better if it's brewed instead of instant Overall stay is good except for the minor issues I mentioned.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The rooms are roomy and nicely furnished. The air conditioning worked well and the WiFi was excellent. There are water stations on each floor. The breakfast was neutral- adequate, but nothing special. I thought the hall carpets were grungy, and overall, the employees were not overly friendly. This surprised me, as I spend 200 nights a year in Filipino-staffed hotels, and usually, the employees are the finest asset. The location is good, with a fabulous, Royal supermarket on the right, and the Harbor Point, Ayala mall on the left. My last night, I was sick all night and didn’t sleep. I asked if I could have one extra hour, late check out, to get a little extra sleep, and the front desk receptionist was totally lacking in empathy. She never offered to check with a supervisor, she just flatly refused.

Grand Hoyah hotel has to be the best deal in Subic Freeport Zone. Hotel does show some aging but price is unbeatable and staff is superb. Good free breakfast and good meals that can be purchased 24x. I would not hesitate to stay there each time I go back to SBMA.

We had a group of 10 for a fishing charter out of Subic bay and needed rooms for one night. The charter company recommended the Grand Hoyas. The Grand Hoyah is comfortable, clean, but a bit dated. Location is very close to mall, waterfront and duty free store, and was just a 5 min ride from harbor. Towels were clean, but worn, rooms smelled faintly of mothballs. Breakfast was included and had a variety of egg/protein choices. Also unlimited congee (surprisingly good) and instant coffee. Total was about $35 a room, so great value for what we needed.

The hotel is clean and tidy, and the rooms are spacious and bright. The front desk service was warm and attentive, and check-in was efficient. The surrounding transportation is convenient, and it offers great value for money. I highly recommend staying here!
