Just returned from the most fantastic holiday at Mitsis Petit Palais. You will never forget your holiday in Rhodes! The staff are incredible, so welcoming, friendly and cannot do enough for you. Our special thanks go to Alex 2 *****es who welcomed us at the bar the night we arrived, looked after us all week and went the extra mile to ensure that we had a good time. He is so efficient at the bar, always smiling and getting everyone singing and in the holiday mood. Try and get Alex to sing for you Life is Life! Fantastic job Alex, you should be promoted to Colonel. Thank you also to Dimmi, the best Lifeguard, Alex number 2 who served us at the bar, the reception staff who are all lovely and helpful, Luigi on the night reception who it was a pleasure to meet. The food at the hotel is excellent, we loved all the choices and had 3 courses most mealtimes, starting with a nice soup, an array of main courses and delicious dessert/ice cream. We always received a warm welcome on arrival to the restaurant by Zara and Daniel, the chefs are fantastic and all the waiters very friendly and efficient. We really liked the pizzas freshly cooked and the Greek salad with feta cheese. Our bedroom and bathroom were very nice and cleaned daily by the hardworking housekeepers. It was great having the mini bar replenished with drinks and bottles of cold water. Our balcony was also nice with a good view of the sea. Location location location! This hotel has the most perfect location for the beach, harbour, shops, Old Town and the Acropolis. We also walked to the Cave of Archangel Michael. Everything is within walking distance, there is also a hop on hop off bus if you prefer. Absolutely amazing holiday and we cannot thank Alex 2 *****es enough for being fantastic. Missing you all so much already, cannot wait to return again soon.

We booked a 5 day holiday in rhodes town, which included, flights, transfers and accommodation at the City Plus Hotel We knew it was a 2star and thats fine , we loved the location and surrounding area Bering in mind its only a 2 Star and we were very pleased with the room , comfortable beds ,not soft , quite firm , perfect Breakfast was not included, so that was extra €9 and have to say it was Lovely, something for everyone, even bacon eggs and sausage The jewel in the crown are the staff A family run establishment and we arrived as guests but left as friends Especially Jannis and Thassos Thank you so very much for making our little holiday , a wonderful experience and we will definitely return Paul an Dave

The hotel is clean and well maintained and the staff are helpful and friendly. We didn't eat in the bar so I can't comment on the food but it looked good and plentiful if a little overpriced! Be aware though that almost EVERYTHING is an extra so budget quite a bit more if you want to use sunbeds, air conditioning or wifi. We didn't as the costs were outrageous. We had a Superior Studio apartment and the beds were very comfortable and the room cleaned daily. We didn't find any of the 'complimentary' toiletries which they advertise although we had a lovely but empty liquid soap dispenser! The shower is really good and would be better if the shower screen had been bigger. They do supply a squeegee for you to remove all the water that sprays all over the bathroom floor. The shower has a fixed head and can't be adjusted and there is a switchable hand shower head for squirting your 'bits'. A good hair dryer is provided. The biggest deal-breaker for us was that in no way was it a fully equipped self-catering apartment. There is NO KETTLE, NO TOASTER and very little of anything else in the way of kitchen equipment. A coffee peculator is provided which is useless (and I stress useless) for making tea. If you want to self-cater, the very reason we booked this hotel, don't bother booking here. You will be very disappointed. If you want to eat out there are many very good restaurants within very short walking distance. You'll be lucky to get breakfast before 10:30 AM though. If you are a light sleeper then think about what it would be like sleeping within one meter of your fridge compressor turning on and off all night long. The balcony is far from private and ours had only a view of an orange tree which was sprayed with chemicals (I assume) every couple of days! It was right next to the walkway to all the other apartments which is great if you want to meet everyone while you're trying to eat your boiled egg and no toast breakfast washed down with lukewarm tea! All in all we had a great time in Rhodes and this hotel could so easily be made to be perfect but sadly I really think they are more interested in taking money than providing a comfortable self-catering holiday experience. Still gave them an above average score though for all the good reasons stated above but we won't be staying there again for all the many bad reasons. Be sure to check out the Royal bar just round the corner. The food is wonderful, the owner and staff are fantastic and the prices reasonable. A bit further on is the San Allotte restaurant which is equally good (maybe better) but more expensive.

We arrived to Rhodes Airport on the 14th Sept, 2022 but no one came to collect, we called The Grande Della Rose Hotel- explained our situation to a very angry man at reception, who said there was nothing in their system, and there was no such booking, when we had paid for 7nts stay with breakfast, it said transfers was included with the price! We think the problem was to do with Customers Support- where we sent an email stating, the Time and the date of arrival but for some reason, Hotel Grande Della Rose did not receive it...had tried to contact Hotel 4 times via Telephone but was not able to get through. We paid for taxi to this Hotel...taken to our room..some time later, we was given a Bottle of Sparkling Wine and 2 Bowls of Fruit; and a 3 course Meal, for the inconvenience that had occurred. To be fair and honest, we found All the Staff at this Hotel very pleasant and helpfull and went out of their way to make our Holiday stay, comfortable and pleasant. We were lucky enough to be the first guests in 2024. Treated like royalty with a wonderful greeting from the team but soon realised other guests got special trea**ent too! They opened especially for us to have a late lunch and we knew straightaway that we were in good hands. We visited with our young adult children and their partners and the holiday will live long in the memory. My daughter was 18 on the day we arrived and a cake was left in her room. Another lovely touch to go with the wine and fruit provided for us all. The town was barely open so we relied on the hotel but there was so much choice of food that it had limited impact. We also got to watch football in the evening thanks to George, who was brilliant all week on the bar and with great conversation and recommendations. My son and I even ventured to watch Diagoras Rodas after chatting about local football and watched a cracking game. It was good to walk to the beach and get a buggy too where we skimmed stones and enjoyed the glorious sunshine. We went out most days, whether via a bus or taxi, visiting Lindos, Rhodes and a fantastic local beach etc but tended to get back for a swim, table tennis and relax by the pool with a beer, where Sakis was superb. We loved the routine of eating together and there was a lot of choice each day. It all felt over too soon. Not sure we really had negatives. I'd have liked a craft-like ale to have been available and perhaps a change of the background music in the bar but with the ingenuity of the cocktails, perhaps I am being too fussy. The Greek government applying a tourist tax stung a bit too as we paid for 3 rooms but this would have been fine if it had been just the two of us. Overall, a big thank you for making perhaps our last family holiday such a special one.

I've just returned from an amazing week long stay at the gorgeous Mayia Resort and what a wonderful stay I had. It was my best friend's birthday whilst we were there and we arrived at our room to see a delicious cake and some chocolates waiting for us. I had emailed the hotel before our stay asking about this and they were incredibly quick to reply and very helpful in arranging this for us. The hotel itself is in a great location and really does have some of the best views I've seen whilst on holiday. The staff are all incredibly welcoming, friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. We felt very well looked after during our time here and I want to thank all the staff at the Mayia for making our stay extra special. It's clear to see how hard everyone works and it's truly appreciated. The food was delicious, a particular highlight was the Greek restaurant which we went to for lunch on our last day. I must also mention the street food corner and the beach bar. The food at both of these options were amazing for lunch and the service was equally amazing. There is a lovely shop at the hotel too which has wonderful gifts. The cocktails were exceptional and service at the pool, main and beach bar was excellent. The room was comfortable and definitely large enough for the two of us, the mini bar was restocked daily too which was brilliant. There is nightly entertainment which is fantastic and a lovely addition to the evenings. The hotel was the perfect place for a relaxing holiday where I could really switch off from everyday life but you can also easily get the bus into Lindos for the day if you'd like or you can access other excursions if you wish. This is the first time I can genuinely say I want to return to a hotel and would come back as soon as possible. Rhodes itself is a beautiful island packed with lots to do and see and the Mayia is a stunning hotel. If I could come back next week, I would. I'm sure I've missed out many more positives in this review but I highly recommend the Mayia Resort and I really want to express my u**ost thanks to everyone who works at the resort.
