Akti Imperial Deluxe Resort & Spa Dolce by Wyndham

Room: Not very spacious and lacking finishing touches. The bathroom door couldn’t be fully closed. There was a water shortage while taking a shower. It happened once during my stay and had to call reception mid-shower to fix the issue. On the cleaning side, the service was perfect. Food: the buffet of main restaurant was not bad. Variety of choices but at some point, it started to feel very repetitive. We have only tried 2 restaurants à la carte. But they are not really à la carte. They just bring everything they have cooked in the kitchen during that day. Even if the staff was doing their best to offer a great service, the food was not delicious. Entertainment/activities: When I booked the hotel, I saw that they have sports sessions (pilates, yoga…) which I was interested to take in. To my surprise, I asked reception twice about these sports classes and no info was provided. They have repeated the same thing twice; that I have to look for the entertainment team, but they were nowhere to be found… For the evening entertainment, I was very disappointed by their shows. Nothing spectacular about them. Overall: I was surprised that this is a 5 star hotel. They need to invest in new technologies to improve their organisation (entertainment programs, booking of restaurants à la carte, information on hotel facilities…). Another that thing needs improvement is security. Anyone can enter the hotel either from the main entrance or from beach entrance. It didn’t really feel safe to leave your stuff on a sunbed to go and have lunch. You always have to carry your stuff with you.

We were very happy with our choice of this hotel. We stayed as a couple at the end of April/beginning of May. The weather was excellent although Ixia was a little windy which we were aware of before our visit . Hotel is welcoming, modern and very clean. We felt it deserved its 5* rating given the options and facilities available to guests and it’s very well organised . Pools are great plenty of choice including adult only and there is no shortage of sunbeds. Pool towels are available free of charge from the spa and can be exchanged daily. Beach area was a nice touch and we enjoyed the beach bar which is accessed via a tunnel under the road from the grounds of the hotel . Several bar areas available with branded spirits if you ask for them. Special thanks to Sergey at the lobby bar fab waiter service and such a nice guy. Sports bar is also good overlooking the sea and never too busy. Food and restaurants are great so much choice and all great quality. Two omlette stations at breakfast plus so much choice. We used all the restaurants available at lunch and really enjoyed each of them. We chose lucilous and the meat and fish grill for our a la carte options they were amazing with great staff too. The food was a big wow at this hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful and so pleased to chat with you they really take pride in delivering a fab service to guests. Our room was a side sea view plenty of storage and super comfy beds. We did have an issue of road noise which we put down to a fitment being missing at the top of the doors. We know this as when we used the shower room on floor one the doors were much better fitted. We did report this to reception on departure but not sure it will be fixed. It would also be nice if all the hotel toilets had working locks on the doors a lot of guests comment on this issue. Location is great as it’s close to Rhodes Town our favourite place over the years. Hotel is also not far from the airport. Overall had a great time and would recommend.

We just came home from two lovely weeks at Akti Imperial Hotel. The room was nice, the view was lovely, great food (especially in the Italian restaurant), perfect location and the BEST staff. A special thank you to Akin and Gloria. David made us the best pizza everyday and Eleni made us feel like home. Such a beautiful woman. We were very amazed by the professional and friendly staff. We do not agree with some of the bad reviews the hotel has received recently. The only things that we can point the finger on is that it was hard to get sunbeds by the pool (not at the beach thankfully). We had a room with sea-view and there was very much noise from the outside (traffic, music, activities ++). And the spa-personal was following us everywhere - pushing us to buy massages etc. even though I did buy a treatment on our second day, they did not stop asking us.

Amazing hotel Food was to a really high standard. Could always find something nice to eat. The pizza place at lunch served stone bake pizzas that were cooked fresh and absolutely delicious. The rooms were clean and modern. All the staff were so polite and helpful. Special mention to the entertainment team who worked so hard all day and night. Will definitely return again.

We stayed here for 10 nights beginning of May and I’ve got to say we were not disappointed! Travelled as a family of 6 with my disabled mum and 3 children (17,12&4) and we had a fab time. The staff will go above and beyond to help in any way they can and the entertainment team were amazing. We had no issues with food and with 3 fussy eaters managed fine. We didn’t book the a la carte restaurants and after a week the food did get a bit repetitive so we did eat out a couple of times (personal preference). The wood fire pizzas were the main hit for us, incredible. Evening entertainment was good with mini disco, award ceremonies and then music/magic/dancing. Loads of activities during the day too, the entertainment team really don’t stop! Beach bar is a lovely touch and we never had any issues getting dinners as a family of 6 so unsure what the moaning is about regarding that. There was a conference on over one weekend when we were there however it didn’t overrun the hotel or bother us in the slightest. Mini market on site is expensive there’s one a five minute walk along the front that is much cheaper if there’s anything you need/want. Taxis into town are all so cheaper from taxi rank on the front opposite hotel. Minibar restocked daily, we asked for more of some things and less of others which wasn’t an issue and rooms always cleaned daily. Worth paying for a sea view in my opinion, sunsets are unreal! Overall we had a brilliant time and wouldn’t hesitate to come back! Thanks again to all the wonderful people at Akti who do everything to make your stay as amazing as possible! Even made my 4 year old a birthday cake and sang to him on his birthday 😊

Beautiful hotel, clean, views of sea and turkey. Only criticism is the reception was not very help. No information provided of facilities and when spoke to them did not really help, especially the dark haired man!! The selection of food was huge with food being cooked in from of you.

Do not listen to the bad reviews. The are some ******* that could be done bit overall the hotel is clean fresh tidy. The staff are amazing will help you with anything you need. Food has a massive variety pool bars has woodfired pizzas that are to die for. If you would like a particular flavour ask the chef he will do it for you if he has the ingredients. The drinks have a wide range of variety and no measures used lol. The rooms are cleaned everyday days bed made and free mini topped up. 3 pools which are all also spotless all day everyday. The entertainment staff are what make the holiday with all day activities and the range of evening entertainment is just amazing. €12 in a taxi to Rhodes old town or a 45 min walk along the coast. Up and down the street from the hotel is a range of mini markets with a range of food. Lovely area and a spectacular hotel. Gutted to be home that disappointed we have booked again for 2025. If u have booked with tui the hotel rep based at the hotel is amazing will help you in anyway she can. We had a 30 mins transfer on a coach so i think privaye transfer would be halfed. Defo give it a try :)

Not 5 star, no were near it. We stayed for a week as a family of 5. We have rooms next door to each other and the noise carries easily. The food is not great. Breakfast is the one that is the worst in terms of options and taste. So much so that we never ate it after the first couple of days and waited until lunch as the food from the pool bars is good. Pizza is fab. There is not enough pool beds for the amount of tourists. The cocktails are from pre-made bottles. The a la carte restaurant is a pre-set meal. There is no option for alcohol selection other than beer or wine. Not what you expect from a 5 star a la carte dining experience. We went to the Asian restaurant. It was ok. We never ventured to the rest as the food is not suitable for kids and my kids are good eaters. There is a sports bar hiding away in a corner. Not very well signposted. Infact the whole hotel is not well signposted. Take swimming shoes with you if you are going to the beach as it has large pebbles and stones to enter in to the sea. The hotel is spotless. The cleanliness of the rooms and eating areas is great. The hotel was busy and it felt crowded. I do not envy those coming here in peak season. We had a sea view room on level 4. The sunset is amazing. The view is spectacular!

Overall we had a super holiday in Akti Imperial recently. The public areas are spotlessly clean, including pool and outdoor bar areas. Our room however, wasn’t cleaned in the way I would have expected. Toiletries were not moved in the bathroom, therefore areas underneath became dirty. Bits of crisps were lying on the floor when we arrived, and might have stayed there all week had I not cleaned them up. Neighbouring guests found a pair of socks in their wardrobe on arrival 🤷‍♀️. There isn’t much soundproofing between rooms or floors. However, these are minor points. It was great to have a fridge in the room, water, wine and soft drinks were replenished daily if required. The food in the main restaurant was very good, the best all inclusive food I’ve ever had - even for a vegetarian 🌱. We didn’t have the best experience in the Greek restaurant, but that didn’t spoil our week. Pool areas super, plenty of sun beds to go round, lovely free pool towels could be exchanged every day. Indoor pool great for a warm swim and never busy. It does get extremely busy and noisy when there are conferences on in the hotel. This did spoil the dining experience for us, due to pushy, rude and very loud guests. What an excellent staff team in the hotel especially the waiters and waitresses. They were always cheerful and polite. Entertainment team can’t be faulted for their enthusiasm, tribute acts were a hit or a miss, and stopped around 1030pm. We hired a car from the team in the hotel, which was easy, straightforward and competitively priced. We drove around the whole island including a stop in Lindos so I could climb up to the Acropolis. There are a couple of shops in the hotel, well stocked, again lovely staff. Reception organised taxis for us, taxis arrived within a few minutes. Would we go back to this hotel? YES!!!!!
