"Central hostel was simply wonderful. It was very clean, quiet and peaceful. The staff were fantastic and very helpful, especially Alana who gave me lots of good advice and information to help me find my way about and where to go and what to see. The owners have added a lot of lovely homely elements to the hostel. You really feel at home there. The outside courtyard has been created beautifully with pots of flowers and hanging baskets. There are seating areas outside in the courtyard too. This is the best hostel! My room at was fantastic, a comfortable bed, storage and lots of room."

"My first time travellong solo and this hostel hasn't disappointed. Couldn't have asked for a better location than opposite the Riga Central station. I booked the place without being fully aware of the access to transport. The hostel also have a very stringent policies on shoes off in the social space and the bedroom (which as an East Asian I don't really object). Perhaps most surprising was the bathroom cleanliness, which a hostel in Edinburgh really disappointed me on. Finally the receptionist are truly eager to help with any burning questions."

"The room and bathroom were very clean throughout our stay, thanks to the cleaning staff (we didn’t get the chance to meet them). Room was perfect for us; good mattress, fridge, kettle, toiletries and extras, including soft slippers. Hot water and heating all good. Location of the hotel is strategic, it’s on a street that goes towards the central train station and bus station, it’s near to public transport stops such as buses and trams, with plenty of cafes and restaurants around, even supermarkets. I can highly recommend this hotel."

"Hotel staff was very welcoming at check in and provided a map of Old Riga and made suggestions for things to see and do. The room itself is clean and includes all necessary amenities. If you plan to do laundry, there’s a 4.50 euro charge to enter the laundry room and then you can use it as much as you want. Bring your own detergent!
Great location In the heart of Old Riga by the House of Blackheads. Walking distance within a lot of attractions , especially the Christmas market if you’re visiting in the winter time. It’s also around the corner from the famous Ala Pagrabs. It’s been full every time I went so I had to settle for a seat at the bar which is not very comfortable! Eating out can become expensive so I appreciated being near Rimi Express to buy drinks and snacks that I could put in the mini fridge."

"The overall judgment is positive, but honestly I expected something more. I booked this hotel because it was recommended by the organizers of the fencing competition to which I accompanied my son. The location was certainly good, 6/7 minutes by taxi from the competition venue, however the hotel itself did not excite me, starting from our arrival; in fact, the flight arrived early in the morning, but check in was scheduled for 3 pm. We asked if it was possible to bring forward the time, they replied that they would let us know, but this was not the case. So far so good. The point is that the room is cleaned on request and we did not know this; so, when we returned to the room on the day of the competition, it had not been cleaned and the towels had not been changed. I was able to take advantage of breakfast twice and in both cases, as soon as I got up from the table to go and get something to eat, the waitress took the cup with the cappuccino off the table, still full!!!"
