Overall an excellent hotel, it has it's pros and cons as expected but we had a fantastic time. We stayed dinner, bed and breakfast for one night with our dog as a pre baby arrival get away. Pros: - Pet friendly! Our room was on the ground floor and had direct access to the garden for letting the dog in and out. However, there were no water bowls or dog towels/beds provided. There were also no obvious bins for dog poo and I stepped in another dog's poop whilst taking mine out. - The food was phenomenal with a wide variety to choose from. The manager did a fantastic job at making us feel welcom and went out of his way for our comfort, even turning the heating down for my pregnancy hot flushes! As we were DBB we had a 3 course set menu to choose from, we had to specially ask for this when we went in as we were given normal menus. Breakfast was also great! Nice selection of hot food and fruit juice. - Very spacious suit and nice hot showers. - lovely outdoor area. Cons: - The room was WAY too hot overnight and the radiators are exceptionally loud, even when turned off at the wall. - Communication when checking in was not great, we did not feel we were provided with all of the information and there was no welcome pack in the room. E.g. swimming pool opening times, where the pool/gym were, breakfast times, that there was a 3 course set menu for dinner, which areas of the hotel the dog was allowed, where the restaurant was. Obviously all things you could figure out but would have been good to know. - gym is on the much smaller side and the changing rooms could do with some modernisation, especially the lockers. - the milk provided with the tea and coffee in the room was out of date by a couple of weeks.
