The sheets were smudged with lipstick and mascara and in general the room was filthy. When I complained to reception about this, they did not do anything about this and they were very rude. I was told they would change the bed however on my return to the room this had not been done and it was disgusting.

Dirty bedsheets, looked like something from the titanic, someone's garden as our room view plus car park, which we had to pay £10 parking to leave car in, and oh aye football fans jumping on the beds above and kicking the door next to us to get in with they're mates, Mrs never got a wink of sleep coz of they're singing all night long this went on, misic blaring, No night manager. Place is a shambles. And that's the night before we drove home, and in the picture as u can see a coffee bottle ontop of a dusty wardrobe. AVOID THAT PLACE!

25/11/23 I stopped for one night in the hotel but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The room is very cold, bedsheets are not very clean, the smell in the room and corridors are very bad. Definitely the place needs refurbishing and decorating.

I do not wish to say negative things about the places I have stayed .. But it was just an overnight stop which you wouldn’t want to spend another minute in the double room that I had booked. Desperately in need of refreshing and having curtains and nets that were ripped/frayed in the dish water grey. The shower cubicle full of black mould and the carpet taken from the 1980’s The lighting so dim so to distract you from the horror that lay in the dark. Definitely not a good nights sleep.

Although reasonably priced the hotel is in need of a thorough refit. The room was large for a twin but had a grubby appearance. We were only there for one night (£10 extra for parking) and I have certainly stayed in worse value places. The lady on reception was very helpful at check in.

From a radio host (Rasta King) and known pod caster... I am happy to say that this hotel stands at the best i have been at so far. THe reception was just outstanding and the Management seems to have a good grip of this stunning place. Im back for more radio shows and pod casts and thi,s is a hotel im happy to return to and definitely for a longer stay. I'd like to leave my very thank you, to the Management team and, I am happy to publicly recommend this hotel to millions of my viewers. Thank you and keep up the great work 😊. RK

Not sure where to start with this one.... I will start with the positives - the place is remarkably cheap, even at short notice. The new managers, who had only been there a week were incredibly nice, knowledgeable and helpful. So - the negatives. The place is very run down. It has the impression of a wonderful hotel from the past, but it has clearly not been maintained properly and was now rather worn looking and dilapidated. The room was superficially clean but there were some issues: - No curtains and the fixed blind did not work. - When I went to bed, I am not convinced that the sheets had been changed from the previous occupant. I may be wrong here, but they looked creased and slept in and there were some 'stains' that were consistent with a naked person sitting down on the sheet. - The bathroom was nice, but the shower had very little power, exerting only drips of water and the toilet brush looked like it had been very well used [if you know what I mean]. - There was an electrical socket that was broken and live wires were visible. - The restaurant and bar was closed and it not appear that they will ever be open again. In conclusion, I am glad that I was on my own. I booked this at the last minute due to a relative being admitted to a nearby hospital. I know that if I brought my family there, my wife would have made me move to another hotel. I am not sure if this hotel is salvageable and if it is, it will need a massive investment to get back on track. I fear that it will end up being some kind of hostel, or more likely, used for temporary social housing. I for one hope that the new managers proactively improve this once fine establishment.
