My Wife and I spent 4 nights there and were more than happy with our stay. Its a beautiful property but it may not be for everyone. There are a lot of stairs and sloped walkways that could be challenging for seniors or those with disabilities. Yes, in most cases there are ways to navigate using the multiple elevators throughout the property but I found it less than convenient. Another issue was the limited choices for meals. While the website makes it seem like there are many restaurants on-property, there are really only two. Elliott Aster, a formal, dinner-only restaurant that definitely requires reservations, and Paul's Landing, the only restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Others mentioned like Parasol, which is a pool bar/restaurant that's only open from 11am - 6pm, Veranda, which is really more of a late afternoon/evening patio bar, which is usually packed, and Lottie, which really just a walk-up coffee bar that also serves baked goods and premade sandwiches, are not actual "restaurants". Fortunately, there are plenty of great restaurants just a short walk away. We only ate breakfast on-property during our stay
Our room was very nice, with a great harbor view. Unfortunately, every evening there were loud parties on the lawn directly under our balcony. Thankfully, they were over before our bedtime so it wasn't a problem for us, but I could see this posing a problem for parents trying to get young children to sleep.
