I give the Dominican Tree House Village 5 stars. I would give more if I could. The resort was nice and relaxed. The food every day was fresh and cooked right in front of us. The staff was like family and always there to help with anything. All of the rum drinks were made perfectly. I would recommend this resort to anyone who needs a break from work and kids. It's a must-try.

This place is a real gem, tucked away in a jungle. It's fabulous. We were there for 2 nights of our week in DR, and those 2 nights were my best nights of sleep on our entire trip. The good: The people there were fabulous - literally every single one of them, the food was amazing, the construction of the treehouses is solid and extremely well done. Having our own bathroom was nice because I honestly wasn't expecting that to be the case. The zip lines were incredibly fun, and we loved the seclusion the location offers. The pool was nice...we swam during a rain storm in the jungle, which was an amazing experience. The bad: There wasn't enough "bad" to convince me to rate lower than 5 stars, but there were some things that I would have liked to be different... There's zero connectivity to the outside world...zero. The little restaurant at the parking lot has an option to pay $10 for wifi, but it's incredibly slow and barely works. It's fine for a quick check on something with your phone, but don't expect to be able to use a laptop for any actual work, or even to make a voice call. There's no cell service at all (which could be good or bad, I suppose, depending on your perspective). My biggest frustration was the lack of hot water. I understand why, but cold showers are only tolerable for so long. There's one shower that has 2 shower heads, where one is cold and the other is scalding hot. I managed to find a way to blend them a little to achieve "warm", but it wasn't easy. They tell you the hike to the zip lines is steep, but thats an understatement. It's maybe a 20% grade. It's a hard hike on cement where traction is tough. But the zip lining was worth the effort to climb to the top. Again, I'll stress that none of the "bad" things were enough for me to dock any stars from this review. It was an amazing experience, and I'd gladly return.

Where do we even begin for this review?? This by far has been the most amazing trio ever. We came on our honeymoon as strangers in another country and left feeling like family. The ability to unplug in the most beautiful environment has been so relaxing trip. The staff were all so attentive to anything we needed. Huge shout out to Alex, Kenzie, Blake, Michael, Ricky, Olympia, kitchen staff, excursion guides, and everyone in between. The locals are amazing as well. The beds were super comfy. Our private dinner was so romantic. They go above and beyond everything we could have needed. If I could give 10 stars, I would. If you are on the fence about visiting, just jump!

Amazing experience. Staff is warm and friendly, helpful and interactive. An immersive and fun stay remote from crowds and noise. Fun and exciting excursions and great night time entertainment. The food is delicious and authentic. I got way more than I expected for the price. Stayed a full week but wish I could stay forever. The perfect place to disconnect and unwind.

If you love the outdoors this is one place that you will want to go back to. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is just amazing. I can't really put into words the time I had. Noticing even that the tree houses are literally made out of random branches from nature. It a great place to get away.

The place is beautifully located and the views are breathtaking. The setting is slightly a YMCA loud music and the food is far below any expectation. The breakfast is in the typical $5,00 range and the dinner would make a max of $10.00 served in buffet style. Soup is served in a pan and they do not even take the effort to keep it hot. Happy to have seen the place but even happier to leave again. Lots of activities to do but the equipment is run down and is typically something you would walk away from if there was a choice. In all honesty we would not recommend the place, stay there for a day max and be sure you book the cabin with hot water!!

I wouldn’t come here again, as a Dominican-American, there was nothing Dominican about this experience. There was no traditional breakfast or dinner. There was a voucher for a Dominican restaurant for lunch. Even the passion fruit juice was not a Dominican traditional passion fruit juice. It was very weird the entire trip. The bicycle was in terrible shape to the point where my husband and I were stranded by the beach because it broke down. The concept is cool but everything about it is failing like the day-to-day operations, the staff seemed to be more interested in flirty with group of women than doing their jobs. For a place calling themselves DOMINICAN treehouse, it definitely doesn’t feel like we’re in Dominican Republic. We also paid for an hour massage, and it was done right below the lounge during late afternoon with loud music (not really romantic and relaxing) and on top of that it was only 34 minutes NOT 1 hour. I had high expectations, but I did not expect to see actual rats running around the tree house and see rat chew marks in our phone cases when we woke up. It’s also an all-inclusive location but some drinks cost extra. Water bottles are cost extra. (Which wasn’t explained to us until check out.) The only TWO things about this was: we did get the best sleep of our lives and it was definitely an experience we’ll never forget! If you do decide to go, I would recommend the max nights to stay is 2 nights.
