My nan and I have had the pleasure of staying at Sami Beach hotel for a week in June and I must say, it is one of the nicest, most welcoming hotels I have stayed in. As soon as you arrive to the beautiful view of sea and Greek islands, you just know it’s going to be a wonderful holiday. With easy access to the beach, and a pool (plus an OUTSTANDING bar) only steps away from your room, the hotel feels like a perfect place to relax and unwind. A further bonus being, the bar serves delicious cocktails. Breakfast and lunch have been brilliant with lots of appetising choices and the kitchen is always happy to alter a dish to suit you. Finally and most importantly, the staff are exceptional. Not only are they professional and efficient they are also warm, friendly and personable; the perfect combination to make guests feel welcomed and at home.

We have been going to this hotel for 18 years. I have been all over the world and stayed in some of the best hotels . I would rather be here than anywhere else. This is a family run hotel and they are superlative and so are the staff. This season all the rooms have been upgraded, even the balconies. The position is second to none with beautiful views over the bay of Sami to Ithaca at the front. The Mountain View’s at the back are just as beautiful. It is very peaceful but only a 15 minute walk to Sami with its tavernas. There are tavernas in Karovomilos itself if you don’t want to walk far. Its heaven on earth! We were here earlier in the year and looked at the revamped rooms and we are back in June and August.

My fiancé and I stayed here with our 15 month old baby for her first holiday abroad for a friends wedding. The staff were so fantastic and accommodating that we will 100% be going back one day and hopefully bringing more of the family with us. Nothing was too much trouble and they made you feel so at home and welcome that is was just so perfect. The food in the pool bar was delicious and the choices at breakfast were great and accommodating for everyone. The views over the sea are fantastic and it’s a short 15 minute walk into Sami. Thank you so much Sami Beach Hotel for making our first holiday as a family one of the best holidays we’ve ever had!

Everything just as excellent as everyone says, but beyond that ALL the people are magic - happy and supremely helpful:- Our 3 lovely cleaners Elenie, Soula and Mary, Dimitri and Arte, at breakfast, but popping up elsewhere, Billy, the airport run chauffeur, Valteri, who almost became our personal chauffeur around Sami - but also was on the poolside bar with Violta, The incredible Caroline and Maria (the first happy faces you see!), Spyros and Doula (Spyros knows everything before it happens; Doula is EVERYWHERE), And finally his all-seeing, ever-friendly Greek mother, Marianne. Many, many thanks and apologies to the wonderful people I've missed out and for all the mistakes (all mine!). We hope to see you all next year. Nigel. PS What a lovely touch it was when the family and several staff came out to wave good bye as we left (with Billy, of course) for the airport. N.

We had a great week at Sami Beach and will definitely return in a couple of years as still lots of Kefalonia to see, Sami makes a great base for this. As other reviews have said, staff are excellent, very clean everywhere, breakfast good, rooms a decent size, large car park, good pool and beach with loungers, views to die for all round. Sami is a lovely town and we had some great meals out then a lovely walk back along the sea front. One negative for us was that the balconies are very small with no privacy and we were unlucky to have smokers and vapers next door which stopped us from enjoying sitting out a lot of the time. Not sure what can be done other than having one floor smoke free perhaps? All in all a lovely place for a holiday and see you in a couple of years we hope. Barry and Debbie

We had one night here in preparation for a boa excursion on the following day. The room was ok but no tea or coffee provided despite there being a kettle and mugs. No water in fridge.
The balcony was very small and the breakfast was disappointing with the lack of fresh fruit.
Nice surroundings and reception were particularly helpful.

From the pick up at the airport the holiday at this hotel was excellent. Lovely family and staff who couldn’t do enough to make sure our stay was excellent. Rooms are a good size including the bathroom and serviced each day. Breakfasts are good with a variety of hot and cold food. Snack bar is excellent with good service and a decent selection of food. The BBQ on Saturdays is good value. There are plenty of sun beds on the beach and around the pool. There isn’t anything I can fault but if I was “nitpicking”, sound can travel between rooms and I would like a bigger variety of fresh fruit at breakfast (there is tinned fruit and fresh watermelon). The high number of people who are return customers says it all!!

We loved this family hotel. Everybody was nice and very helpful from the front desk through the bar team-day and night , and the kitchen, the cleaners and the managers. The guests are lovely , most are families who wish to spend quality time together- reading, playing, and enjoying the pool. It was peaceful and very relaxing. Great place to come back!

Extremely friendly owners and staff, underscoring the family ethos. A lovely hotel, all very clean (rooms cleaned each day), a great location (on the beach, a 15 minute walk along the shore to Sami and everywhere else within easy driving distance), excellent swimming pool and other facilities.
