Trópica Beach Hotel

Pros: Only a 5 minute walk from the beach. Extremely courteous staff. Dulcesalado restaurant is literally attached to the hotel, super convenient. Beautiful modern lobby Cons: Some rooms don’t have much of a view. Lobby is extremely narrow Overall: Beautifully designed, close to the beach. Wish there were more amenities but overall would recommend booking here

Had a lovely stay here before my cruise. Property has a nice boutique feel about it and the staff are super helpful and friendly (Especially Jessica and Xiomara). Have booked my final night in San Juan here after the cruise too!

Staff was wonderful! A short stroll to a beautiful beach, food, and shopping. Rooms are a touch small, but very cozy, with plenty of storage for your belongings.

I regret to say that my recent stay at the Tropicá Beach Hotel was incredibly disappointing. From start to finish, it was a series of unfortunate events that marred what should have been a relaxing getaway. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an indifferent receptionist who seemed more interested in her phone than assisting us. Despite booking well in advance, our room wasn't ready, and we were left waiting for an unacceptable amount of time. When we finally got to our room, the disappointment continued. The cleanliness left much to be desired, with visible spots on the tile floor and a musty odor pervading the air. The bathroom was no better, with mold in the corners and a broken showerhead that sprayed water unpredictably. To add insult to injury the amenities were minimal and which was disappointing for what I was charged. Furthermore, the dining experience was abysmal. The food was overpriced and of poor quality, with long wait times and disinterested staff. Overall, my experience at Tropicá Beach Hotel was nothing short of a nightmare. I strongly advise against staying here unless you enjoy disappointment and frustration. It's a shame that such a beautiful location is marred by such inadequate management and service.

This was a nice, comfortable stay. Jessica at the front desk was absolutely fantastic - she gets five stars for being helpful, outgoing and kind.

Had an absolutely wonderful time at the tropica. Clean rooms, lovely property and a quick walk to the beach and cafes/restaurants. Reception staff went above and beyond to be accommodating.

The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The pool is not a pool for swimming, however the beach is one block away and Ubers were easy to get and had us everywhere we wanted to be within 15 mins or so.

I didn’t like that the staff shows no respect. They always answer you with WHAT! The room unit would not change to heat so my wife was uncomfortable. The fridge sat on the floor and the tissue holder fell off the wall when we attempted to roll off tissue

Absolutely wonderful hotel! Small boutique hotel that is clean, rooms are lovely, courtyard area is beautiful and the restaurant is lovely! A a solo female travelled, I felt very safe walking in the evenings in the area. The hotel provides beach chairs and towels for guests, which was fantastic. The beach is only a 2 minute walk. I had a room with a small patio which was gorgeous. Coffee in the morning was a nice touch! Tons of restaurants that are in walking distance. Only 15 min from the airport. The staff here are possibly the best I’ve encountered in all my travels. So accommodating and pleasant. Jessica particularly went above and beyond!! She’s a gem!!!
