I chose to stay here because I have an early morning departure. Reviews said it was newly renovated and Hilton is a decent brand. It is also very close to the airport.
Upon check-in I asked for a room close to the front. I was given a room on the second floor, across a bridge, and all the way at the end of the corridor. When I opened the door, the carpet was filthy. It looked like gum was stuck in it, and there were stains everywhere. There was also a bad smell, like warm pickles. I went back to the front desk and asked for another room. This time I was assigned a room just off the lobby on the first floor. Why wasn't I given this room in the first place? I requested something close.
Bad start aside, the second room was better. I needed to drop my car at a nearby long term parking facility and the front desk clerk told me to call for the shuttle to pick me up. No sooner had I dropped off my car, the shuttle was there. The driver had radioed to say he was headed back, and the clerk asked him to stop and get me. I really appreciated it, very thoughtful. The driver was really nice.
All in all, it is a mixed bag. I would give the property a 7 out of 10 for cleanliness and appearance. It does not look newly renovated. Overll, the staff were very nice aside from my original request being completely ignored and then accommodated.
