We were really looking forward to experiencing a 4 night stay here and were sure it would be the highlight of our 3 week trip across the States to celebrate our anniversary . However we were left a little disappointed with a few aspects during our stay. We arrived a little earlier than guaranteed check in time and enjoyed relaxing in the bar and on the chairs overlooking Santa Barbara. However, we were not contacted after check in time and had to ask twice and so check in was later than expected. Our room was stunning though and worth the wait. Highlights were definitely the view, setting above Santa Barbara, the relaxed atmosphere and terrace for meals. However, it was mainly service that was disappointing for such a high end hotel. Breakfast was erratic. Day one was spot on, day two we had to ask for missing items, day three took over an hour and on our final morning it was twenty minutes before we managed to even get a drink let alone someone to take an order. The pool area is stunning visually, however, don’t take a bed near the pool room unless you want all the staff gossip, though it was entertaining! Plus it took over half an hour for a glass of fizz to arrive and when it did, it was luke warm - just not what you’d expect. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant on our first night but the menu didn’t offer enough choice for us to dine there again. We didn’t manage to book the shuttle but ubers were easy to come by. I think perhaps if we’d have stayed one night, we’d have been more ‘wowwed’ and the cracks wouldn’t have been so apparent. For a leading hotel of the world a little polish and elbow grease is needed to be truly worthy of the title.

The breakfast was very rich, the service was very good, very stylish, the room had more than sixty square feet, there was a dining table, living room, fireplace, jacuzzi, kingsize bed, the boss was very good, there was free parking, we arrived It was late, almost eight o'clock, she prepared tea and red wine for us. The hotel is basically a big garden. It can be seen that the boss has spent many years sorting out the arrangement. Get up during the day, walk in the garden, sunbathe on the sun loungers on the lawn, read the book, very comfortable. Take the No. 1 road and stay here for one or two nights before going to LA.

We had our company Christmas party in the hotel's private room and it was amazing. The food and service was excellent and the room was beautifully decorated for Christmas. It was by far the best place we've ever been to for our Christmas party.

The front desk service is good, the attitude is very good, when the check-in prompts the opening hours of the pool and laundry room, daily breakfast, fruit, snacks, free milk cookies at night, the front desk will remind you of the time. The hotel has plenty of parking spaces and special features. The only downside is that the floor has some sound and the sound is not very good. You can hear it next door. Refrigerator cooling effect is good, air conditioning is also, that is, the sound is a little bigger. There is a dressing table outside the bathroom, a lighted makeup mirror and a separate wardrobe. The bathroom and shower room are large. Outside the door are gas stations and supermarkets. It takes 5-10 minutes to walk from the beach.

Goodness, this place is such a hidden gem for all types of travelers. I’m so happy we made the decision to stay here for our 3 night getaway from LA to the place where we met 10 years ago and hold dear. Now we have two small kids along for the ride, and this was the best place we’ve stayed in our re-visits, especially for a family. But it would be wonderful for all types of groups - couples looking for dog friendly, grandparents who appreciate the quiet lush courtyard, families who need the extra space and convenience. I have already recommended to my local friends when looking for family or friend accommodations. We stayed in room 6, one of the king suites with a separate bedroom/living room and full kitchen. It was perfect: the bedroom is large enough for a toddler floor air mattress (or in king bed if needed) and younger child in pack n play. Then we had the pull out couch as backup if needed. But the apartment is huge - way bigger than most local long term rentals. And being able to sit right out front in chairs or the grassy courtyard full of flowers, butterflies, and birds, was such a treat. Plus parking was right behind this unit, so super convenient with kids. But it’s so small, all the rooms are easy access to the back lot. Staff are so helpful and friendly. You really can’t help but feel positive and grateful when engaging with them, even during covid times. So overall, you absolutely cannot beat the charm, convenience and affordability of this hidden gem. Usually one feels duped by the Santa Barbara hotels, especially after you’ve lived here. Some places really gouge you so you can get a slice of paradise. But Beach House is actually worth every penny and more for what you receive in return. Also, the location is perfect. We love this area as visitors. Very safe and quiet, off the beaten path but walkable or quickly drive/bike to everything. Leadbetter beach is just around the corner and has the best accessibility of any beach in my opinion. Which is huge when you have kids. Don’t hesitate, if you want that hard to pinpoint but definable Santa Barbara charm, plus space and convenience with an extremely reasonable price tag, this is it.

This hotel had great charm and is centrally located off State St close to many restaurants and tasting rooms, and a quick 15 min walk to the beach/Funk Zone. Room- we had a king which was comfortable and the room itself was a nice size. We faced the back of the building so our room was quiet, personally I think the rooms facing State St would be loud at night. Bathroom- like other reviews stated, the bathroom was small and the shower flooded the bathroom every use. They have a half door on the shower that doesn’t cover the length of the shower head causing flooding every time. It was a nuisance to deal with every day and could easily be fixed if they added shower curtains. Staff- everyone was pleasant and the daily cookies and tea were nice.

This expensive room actually only gives a Queen Size bed, I went to sleep with my mother, I can only add another bed, check out and see more than $75... It’s really drunk... Three thousand One night... It’s really huh... oh, breakfast is OK, the garden is good, the middle of the table can be burned in the middle of the night, but smoking can only go to a corner of the backyard. Anyway, a thousand and ten thousand is no price/performance ratio. The experience that comes out is that it is better to live in a large chain hotel, such as intercontinental and hilton. At least there is a bottom line standard... with inn or forget it...
