Firstly, we are always grateful for a roof over our head. However, where to begin…My wife and I were checked in for 3 nights at this hotel. Upon arrival, we were escorted through the hotel only to be taken back out onto the road and shown our room which was literally on the road (see images). The location of this room was a thoroughfare for trucks, cars and buses all day and night. Once we were in the room, we noticed there were 4 single beds, no kettle, no tea or coffee (as referenced on their website), in the bathroom you could smell the mould which seemed to be painted over and it was quite outdated (IMO). We were also positioned under the restaurant which we could hear the scraping of chairs each morning and evening. Whenever we went to visit reception to ask simple logistical questions or requests, there was no one present and had to call a phone number. In terms of the atmosphere, we felt like we were always being watched by staff and did not feel comfortable to even sit by the pool. After chatting with other guests, this was a similar feel we gathered from them also. At check out, you guessed it! No one present at reception - SMH. Oh yeah, can’t forget about the 21 euro tax we had to pay… in cash with no receipt, raising eyebrow. Santorini was beautiful ☀️, this hotel was not. ✌
