I am notbone for writing lukewarm reviews, but here we go.
The staff service was great. However the room cleaning crew needs some help. They left the new towels outside our door without even going into our room to make the bed, etc... (we did not have a Do Not Disturb sign on the door knob ) Even after i notified the front desk about this they still did not come by to pick up the used towels.
The room is small (not smallish, but small). There is a wall safe but no refrigerator. The TV is about 27" in size. (We did not watch much of it, so nothing lost there.) We had a room with a queen size bed. The leg room is really minimal if you are thinking of working on a laptop on the desk/bureau combo furniture.
The hallways smelled slightly musty but not overpowering. (Well, it is an over 120 years old establishment. )
The big plus overall is that we were minutes away from practically everything in the city. (We were seeing the Nutcracker ballet, just a 9 minute walk to the theater. ) Lots of great restaurants and bars to choose from. Hope this review helps in your decision on hotels.
