We've been visiting Velden for many years - and have always talked about staying at ”The Schloss.” This month, we finally followed through with a reservation, and are so excited to share details about our wonderful stay! My wife was concerned that we'd arrived too early. However, we were checked into our room anyway, and given a short tour of the expansive property, which we sincerely appreciated. Even the smallest, least-expensive room we could find had a balcony and partial sea view, as well as a fireplace. And the bathroom was mind-blowing! The hotel offers extensive wellness facilities, and could benefit from additional staffing or more frequent checks refilling the water stations and removing towels that thoughtless guests have left laying around long after departing the area. We both thoroughly enjoyed our Couples Massage Package, but were apoplectic at their staff putting big, electrical machines into the swimming pool during guest hours THEN ASKING US TO REMOVE THEM. We certainly don't agree that should be part of any wellness experience. Other highlights of our stay were the very helpful staff, to include the Concierge, Frau Nadine, and Herr Fabian. We also LOVED breakfast every morning, as the dining room offers a ”million dollar view” and a wide assortment of food and beverages, to include made-to-order items. We're already talking about our next visit, and simply cannot wait to return!!

Gutes Hotel mit super Restaurant. Tiefgaragenparkplätze für 15€ pro Nacht ( die Geräumigkeit der Garage ist nicht großzügig, aber vollkommen OK - auch mit SUV). Wir hatten ein Superior Zimmer (mit separatem WC). Zimmer sehr sauber. Da wir zu Dritt waren, war es etwas eng. Großer Balkon. Wenn man die Fenster geschlossen hält ist der abendliche Velden-Zentrum Lärm kein Problem. Tolles Frühstück mit viel Auswahl. Abends sehr gutes Essen im Restaurant. Personal freundlich. Badeplatz bei der Villa Bulfon ist ca. 5 Gehminuten entfernt, dafür der Schönste in ganz Velden.

We had the luck to check in a supersick, just renovated hotel, were immediately received by a.o. nice and effortful staff with a greeting drink and then were totally enthusiastic by the rooms! Very much stuff, stylish equipment, large balcony, beautiful bathroom and the best: the food was always with 2 pre-food, main meal and after-food just delicious! In summer you can enjoy the huge garden with pool and garden terrace and the offer with the Wörthersee Summercard makes the whole thing a wonderful-variable holiday! I booked the hotel because a familiar told me - it is the best wellness hotel in Austria. I can now say, unfortunately it is not and I was already in some wellness hotels. The location of the hotel is super 👍 but in winter at wellness I don't think this is so important. I can imagine that the location is more important in summer. The food was very good and the staff very friendly. The massage was super and the staff there were also very friendly and premature. However, it was too cold for me in the bedroom and in most rooms. The bedroom was clean and the bed comfortable. The wellness area could be clearly renewed and is expandable. Unfortunately there is not really where very hot water - the outdoot pool was too cold for me. And what clearly misses are whirpools and really quiet rest rooms where the atmosphere fits. In the rest rooms are lifting chairs everywhere - this could be changed to mattresses in niches or similar ... Whether'd be much more cozy 👌. I missed sauna excitements by staff and I think that would also enjoy all the other guests very much. Sauna landscape is great and also clearly large enough. A sauna bar would be another idea you could consider ... Because for drinks and similar things you always have to go to the seahouse/restaurant. This passage is clearly too cold in the bathroom in the winter. Retroactively, I can say the hotel has a great location and great potential - to make something out of the wellness area.
