Hotel JAL City Sendai

Perhaps prices are generally lower in Sendai, as this hotel offers great value for money! It's clean and hygienic, and the room is quite spacious. It's about a ten-minute walk from Sendai Station, and you can get there quicker once you know the way.

After exiting the station, there are two Parco buildings; the hotel is closer to the one on the right. The other one, Parco 2, sells Issey Miyake bags and is less crowded, offering direct tax refunds. The hotel's location is good; if you don't take a wrong turn, it's about a five to six-minute walk from the JR exit. Also, the highway bus to Yamagata Zao departs from bus stop 22, which is also on the right-hand side in the direction of the overpass. There are signs on the overpass. There are many buses available. Once you arrive in Yamagata, if you have a group, you can take a taxi to the ropeway station for over 7,000 JPY. This is the most time-efficient option. We spontaneously decided to see the Zao Snow Monsters and successfully did so, checking them off our list on January 15th.

Booked a triple room. I stayed at this hotel a few years ago when I visited Sendai, and I booked it again this time. It's very close to Sendai Station; you just walk along the skybridge. The location is excellent, and the hotel is very clean. The breakfast area was under renovation, so it was moved to B1. The space isn't huge, but the food was really good. My parents thoroughly enjoyed their stay.
