Beck Hall

I have just had a 2 night stay here. What a lovely little gem . the building is old and authentic with fires and pads for dogs to lie on . The staff are so friendly and helpful. I came though for the food as I have been vegan for 33 years and when I saw the first vegan hotel I thought I must go. I was not disappointed the food was delicious the Sunday roast was lovely and the cheesecake divine. To top it all this little hotel is set in a truly beautiful part of the country with spectacular scenery and walks. Thanks so much for for setting up a vegan green ethical hotel I felt truly relaxed I will definitely return

An absolutely wonderful experience! We thoroughly enjoyed every single bit of our stay and the fabulous plant based menu. We enjoyed a beautiful room surrounded by birdlife and a spectacular view of the beck. We LOVE the plant based menu, the staff were awesome and we made a stop at Beck Hall on purpose (from Australia) as we read about your transition to plant based online and knew we had to come and support you. The best of luck with your transition, and I'm sure you will find every success and support by the wonderful network of vegans (and vegan curious) around the world. Vegan, done well. I have been a vegan wholefood chef for a very long time and find it extremely difficult to find well made vegan food in England or Australia - all the Gold stars to you guys!!! Doggo friendly and relaxed enough vibes to make the stay thoroughly enjoyable. We will be back! We loved this beautiful little hotel, carefully curated throughout - made to make you feel welcome and comfortable (including the dogs, albeit we didn't have one). Ideally situated for peaceful walks and a rest from the normal faced paced life. So fantastic that it's also fully plant based, what a lovely choice of food, we ate three meals there and thoroughly enjoyed all of it - vegan paradise. We appreciated the advice from the team on walks, also on the faultless service they provided. We'll be back for sure, and can't wait.

Fantastic place to stay! We have just come back from a 2 night stay here in beautiful Malham. Stayed in the Blue Room which is very quirky and old but lovely. Nice large room with a small but adequate bathroom and a walk in shower (great shower). We had our stay on a bed and breakfast and £30 towards the evening meal each night. It was such a lovely stay! We arrived in torrential rain which meant the beck running by the hotel was very high and swirling, but the weather better the next day. We had a comfortable bed which was high off the ground but manageable to get in to and everything was lovely and clean! The staff were very attentive in every area and the restaurant food very high standard. My samosas were the best I’ve ever tasted! The menu is a mix of meat and vegan but I can recommend the passanda which is squash and chickpeas, very tasty! Not too much choices for dessert but the cheesecake was very good and I had a wonderful frothy cappuccino. Our wine was £24 a bottle which actually was reasonable and my husband enjoyed it. The other drinks were very reasonable too. The whole stay was very enjoyable and lovely to see Malham. We visited Janet’s Foss (a beautiful waterfall which is where Jenette, Queen of the Fairies is rumoured to live behind … a very stunning sight! And Malham Cove, a challenging walk but the views are stunning and the rocks used for the Harry Potter film all worth seeing. There are steps down but very steep and need careful negotiation (I slipped and got a very bruised arm) so worth being careful, but so worth doing as you see the iconic view of the cove. I can recommend Beck Hall … a fantastic place to stay (sunshine months best) and the food (including breakfast) and service all excellent. First class weekend which I hope to repeat next year!

Really enjoyed our stay at Beck Hall. The hotel is very relaxing and we enjoyed the food. Staff very helpful and the manager cannot do enough for you, very efficient and helpful. The vegan food is really nice and well presented, keep up the good work. Looking forward to our next trip. Thank you for a lovely time.

Lovely room with a huge en-suite bathroom, wonderful food (dinner and breakfast), very friendly staff. Great to not have to think about what on the menu is vegan :) Would definitely stay again. Plenty of choices for dinner and also for breakfast.

Are the staff friendly and efficient? 100% Was our room clean? 100% Was the menu interesting? 100% Were the meals tasty, cooked properly and nicely presented? 100% Was there enough tourist information about the area to facilitate visit plans? 100% Am I baffled why anyone would give a 'poor' review to Beck Hall? 200% Thank you, Beck Hall, for that richly enjoyable stay.

Right from walking over the stream on the old stone bridge, Beck Hall looked amazing. It was beautiful inside too and we had such a warm welcome from Linda and all the staff. We loved it immediately. Our room looked out over the stream with a whole variety of birds to watch. Our evening meal in the restaurant was one of the best I’ve had in 22 years of veganism, possibly the best! The breakfast was also delicious and generous. Both felt like a great reward for lots of hiking and running around the stunning hills of Malham, the cove and the tarn. We can’t recommend Beck Hall enough. We’ll remember it forever, and hope to come back.

We had huge expectations of Beck Hall, and we’re not disappointed. From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and the staff were exceptional throughout. The food and drinks were sensational and we enjoyed every meal we had here - clean plates every time! We loved it so much by the end of the first day I was already booking to come again for our anniversary in June. We’d never been to Beck Hall before but travelled from the South West due to it being plant based, and it was absolutely worth it. Can’t wait to come back.
