The Cordis Shanghai Hongqiao boasts an exceptionally convenient location! Situated right next to the Hongqiao Transportation Hub, both the high-speed train station and the airport are just a short walk to its B1 back entrance, making it incredibly convenient for both business travelers and tourists. The surrounding area is brimming with malls and restaurants, offering an overwhelming array of choices. In the evenings, you can effortlessly find dining, entertainment, and shopping options just by taking a leisurely stroll. The service, moreover, was impeccable. The front desk staff greeted us with smiles as sweet as sugar, and the bellhops were incredibly swift and efficient. The bedding in the room was absolutely divine! The down duvet was so soft and fluffy, and the pillows were perfectly supportive, making you feel like you were floating on clouds. After a long, tiring day, I fell asleep instantly and woke up completely refreshed. The bathroom featured a fantastic rainforest shower with incredible water pressure that just washed away all the day's fatigue. A true delight for anyone who appreciates thoughtful details!

I used a pre-purchased voucher for my stay, which included two breakfasts, two cocktails 🍸🍸, and welcome fruit for ¥699 – a great addition to my trip! The bar, in particular, was quiet with excellent service. They served two cocktails, one plum candy-flavored and the other mint cream, both perfect for photos. This made up for the welcome fruit arriving so late. Honestly, during a holiday, it would be fine if guests could just pick up their welcome fruit during check-in. The next day's breakfast menu had some changes to the dishes and pastries compared to the first day, and I enjoyed my favorite mushrooms 🍄🟫, BBQ pork pastries, and frozen yogurt cups. While queuing for coffee, I briefly discussed with the person behind me how to improve the taste of a self-serve latte by ensuring the milk foam temperature is lower than the coffee liquid, and shared some tips on water temperature. Around 9 PM, the sound system from the adjacent mall bled into all the hotel rooms, and people went to the lobby to inquire. I even overheard some guests saying their welcome fruit was still “on its way” on their second night. Holidays really are a special time that tests organization and coordination. A big shout-out to the night shift staff for their hard work! The gym equipment was pretty comprehensive with ample space for workouts, though I didn't see any cool towels or bottled water. Check-out was quick and easy. Despite all my rambling, the stay was very pleasant and I would recommend it.
