Shangri-La Xianggeya Residence (Dukezong Ancient City Branch)

Had a very comfortable 2-night stay here! Great location just a 2min walk from the North Gate of Dukezong, no problems finding the place with map apps. It's also just a short walk to Guishan Park and the dance square, which was lively and fun to watch. The weather can get chilly at night, but the room was so cozy and warm, with heated wooden floors. The shower has a digital display that tells you the temperature of the water, which was useful. The owners are very welcoming and hospitable, and the ginger tea was so warming and delicious. Would definitely stay again~

Service is excellent!! The location is right at the heart of the accident town, yet about 150m from the road. So if you have suitcases, you can request a day before to pick you up from the station and they will help carry suitcases. We've two heavy suitcases and they helped us all the way including when we have to do early check out. So 5 out of 5 for services! Thank you! The hotel is operated by the 3 brothers and we met 2 of the brothers, whom are all very friendly and helpful. Our room is huge, can definitely sleep 4 with no issue. I chose this room, because I wanted to try the Tibet style room which is a good experience. My only complain is the hot water. We did notice they turn off the hot water during the day. During one of the day we wanted to have an early shower but notice there was no hot water because they turn that off. Otherwise would have given high score for this.

I loved my stay here! The room is very cosy and comfortable and it had everything I needed for my stay in Shangri-la. The three brothers who run the place are very warm and welcoming as well. There’s a craft beer place selling Shangri-la beer just further down called 3300. Do also check it out if you like craft beer! I would love to stay here again and would definitely recommend it to everyone.

The boss is very enthusiastic. Room is clean, warm. Traveling to all locations is convenient. 100 score.

We are fm S'pore. The hotel is spacious n very clean. The three bosses brothers are very warm n welcoming. Will definitely stay here again if any chance to visit this place in the near future.

Room was warm and cosy with floor heating. Being Malaysians with thin blood, we needed heating and the room was warm. He picked our luggage up the gentle slope to the hotel about 150 m away from the road. Excellent recommendations and helped us with costumes rental and makeup for 2 of us plus arranging a car for us to visit 2 sights. Bathroom could have more hooks and an extra mirror would be nice:-) otherwise fantastic place near to restaurants. Oh, no more washer available at this place. Slight disappointment there.

The owners were very welcoming and helpful, without intruding to privacy. Rooms has a floor heating, which makes it very cozy and comfortable. Bathroom is clean, big and nicely done. Location in the ancient city is fantastic, with a lot of restaurants and everything else you need around. Do not miss out Shangri-La beer’s bar with fantastic tap beers on the same lane.

Boss CF is a very friendly boss! He has been giving us advice on the Ancient City. The location is very centralised and easy to move around the Ancient City.

The guesthouse is located very close to the Dukezong Old Town North Gate. Our room was very clean and all the amenities were in place. Even though it can get cold in Shangri-La these times, our room was always comfy warm and there was always enough hot water in the shower. The boss is very friendly and gave us great recommendations for food. Thank you!
