Coming to this place is like going home after being out for a few years. The owner of this place takes pride in taking good care of you. I first knew about this place after watching a documentary "再会长江" it speaks about how this 17 year old girl from shangri-la had dreams of opening up her own hotel. 11 years later they went back to find her and true enough she opened her own place. This made me want to visit this place if ever we come to Shangri-la and true enough it doesn't disappoint. Ci Mu and her family takes good care of us the moment we stepped into her place. Her rooms are super clean and well equipped. Ci Mu's mother helped us wear traditional clothings and drove is t rode horses at Napa lake. As this place is far from the city, they do dinner service as well and i must say their food is really good. The yak hotpot is superb! Breakfast in the morning is simple yet full of love. She also drove us to the train station after our stay and gave us presents before we leave. Im coming back to this place to stay again if ever i come back to Shangri-la.

I’m so happy to stay at Renqing Cimu Court. The hospitality truly comes from the heart. After staying here, I discovered the touching story behind the documentary “Aurora Cimu ******* Girl Story,” and it made the experience even more meaningful. The hotel location is very convenient, only around 15–20 minutes from Dokezong Ancient Town, and you can easily call a Didi anytime. It is also very near to Napa Haiguiqing Grassland (about 360m) and Napahai Wetland Park (about 500m), which are both within walking distance. You can enjoy horse riding activities and even ride a yak at the grassland with the local people. Language is not a problem because you can use the WeChat translation feature easily. Every penny spent here is truly worth it because the hospitality is beyond expectations. The host and family genuinely make you feel comfortable and welcome throughout your stay. They are always willing to assist whenever you have questions. The room and amenities are perfect and very clean. I will surely come again. We really appreciate the staff lugging our trolley baggage up the steep stairs. It’s traditional style so we have to climb up to the different levels. But the staff made it so easy for us. The room is big and comfortable. Toilet bowl is automatic flush system with warm seats. Toiletries all provided for. Shower area is just a very normal simple one. Nothing to fault with. Breakfast is served to you once you enter the eating area. That is a huge screen and you can even choose what shows to watch provided other users are fine with it. Cimu is a really lovely lady and it was so enjoyable to chat with her about history of her place, her culture and she told us what to do around the area. We also happened to coincide with the local Horse Racing Festival and we went to watch a few races free of charge for entry. It is also easy to get a Didi cab hailing service even if the location looks far. Actually the whole Diqing is considered small so travelling around is not difficult at all. No cold air conditioning because the weather only gets colder and not warmer than our June timing. In fact, it was freezing at night and we switched on the floor heating.

I think most people including myself came after watching the documentary. I must say I'm thoroughly impressed by what this girl has done with this dream of hers, all her hard work and with the support of her family. The hotel is so well built! The room is also well furnished, with a lot of attention to detail, catered to the international audience. There's the japanese toilet bidet and premium toiletries, snacks and tea. Service is premium too. The family greeted us warmly at the door, cimu personally greeted us with the tibetian scarf (an auspicious symbol). The family helped carried our luggage upstairs and they were so fast and efficient! Cimu also personally cooked breakfast for us and it was such a spread. After breakfast she also dressed us up in tibetian clothing (it's free and part of the package) and we went to the grasslands just 3 mins walk at the front of the homestay to take photos. You could actually wear it out to other places too but we didn't have time to return do we just took pictures at the grassland nearby and in the homestay. On top of all the hospitality, cimu also gave us parting gifts! 💕💕💕
