"Lovely hotel, friendly staff, perfectly situated close to the beach and the Old Village. A small amount of free parking on site. Very impressed with the facilities inside the hotel - including indoor swimming pool, hot tub & sauna. Be careful with your choice of room, by selecting a non-sea view, standard room for 2 x people we were allocated an accessible room right next to reception/main entrance on ground floor, which was really noisy, with very little privacy. Such a shame as the rest of our experience there was so good."

"The hotel is well placed overlooking the sea. John the assistant manger has an usual humor and can come across as rude. The room was a good size but did have some cobwebs. It was quite noisy as all the floorboards squeak and you hope you don't get a child jumping off the bed in the room above from 7am! There are signs everywhere telling you what not to do, from not moving furniture to not putting cases on the bed to what can go in the toaster! "

"Wonderful peaceful setting looking over the hotel’s garden and out to sea. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the breakfast and freshly made sandwiches were spot on. Great location for walking into Shanklin old town and high street with its numerous restaurants. Our little piece of paradise . Well done David and Team ."

"The hotel is in a great location, it’s clean enough although things like the stair carpet could be replaced as it’s threadbare, but overall clean. The room was one of the cheaper ones, but it’s definitely tiny and the bathroom is awful, no need for a sink that big in such a tiny bathroom. Other than that it’s average. Sadly, the one star is due to the managers attitude, it’s absolutely disgusting and she is massively passive aggressive. We were woken by staff late at night as the payment hadn’t gone through…why it wasn’t taken at check in I do not know, why take it on the last night? When we complained the next day, the manager at first apologised and blamed *******, however it wasn’t ******* come knocking on my door late at night demanding money. It was one of the hotel staff. When we questioned it we didn’t accept the apology, that’s when we were met with a massive passive aggressive response, which just shows that any smiley helpful conversations were just fake. Absolutely no way we’d go there again with the attitude of the manager, absolutely disgusting. I was going to post a screenshot of the response but decided it would be just as bad them."
