Sheki Park is some 10km outside Sheki, so you will need transport to town. It is surrounded by stunning, lush green mountains and offers 2 styles of accommodation : the hotel itself with standard rooms and garden chalets. Although I was traveling solo, I somehow got huge chalet #16 (is the main hotel for group tours ?) ; an entry hall, large bedroom, large bathroom, full kitchen and lounge area and outdoor terrace. The TV offers a few hundred channels, but nothing English. Outside is a slightly dilapidated playground and a huge pool, which is empty and green with algae. Breakfast is served on the top floor of the main hotel in a massive, sterile room and this is where you see the busloads of group tours pushing around the buffet. The choice of food is rather poor : no fresh juice, no fresh eggs (only hard boiled), instant coffee only, hard dry bread. I did enjoy the delicious dairy products of yoghurt and kaymak.
