Nestled in a prime location, this inn offers easy access to the best of the area's natural beauty and recreational activities. Proximity to the beach is unbeatable. Waking up to the serene views of the ocean and the calming sound of the waves was a daily highlight. The beach itself is clean and inviting, perfect for both sunbathing and very peaceful at dawn and sunset.The area boasts several scenic hiking trails. We took advantage of these and were rewarded with breathtaking views and the chance to reconnect with nature. Food options around Spyglass Inn also added to the charm of our stay. We indulged in some local cuisine that was as delicious as it was diverse. From fresh seafood to hearty breakfasts, plus a great steak in Arroyo Grande, 5 min drive. The inn itself provides a wonderful atmosphere to unwind. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, offering all the amenities needed for a relaxing retreat. The staff was friendly and helpful when needed, going out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Overall, our weekend at the Spyglass Inn was a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a rejuvenating getaway in a picturesque setting. "Room was nice with two solid beds, microwave, small fridge, and 40-inch television. Shower was small with weak water pressure. Motel is literally built right where the beach starts. "Ocean view room" was not correct unless you count standing at your open doorway and staring over the parking lot towards the ocean. Also the windows were storm windows and would not open to allow for the sound and smell of the ocean. At $300 a night it is a bit overpriced. Room could use a tiny sitting table with a chair or two. Many restaurants within easy few minutes walk. A few shops to explore but not much else to offer for night life."
