The Albert Hotel

Not stayed in the rooms but been in many a time for a drink. Nicely situated close to the town, railway and bus stations with a pleasant pavement area at the front Our experience is that the staff are always excellent with a smile and efficiency that is often missing in some places. Food is good too Nice place to spend some time
Cbh Prince Rupert Hotel

The hotel is right in the very center of the town and the location is very good. The breakfast is very rich, you can order the main dish yourself, we have a very clean breakfast. Hotel service is also very good, we asked about the bus time nearby, the hotel front desk sold to the computer to print a schedule to us. The only downside is that the hotel house is very old and the rooms are generally small.
Anton Guest House Bed and Breakfast
4.6/539 Reviews
My wife and I recently traveled to Shrewsbury (from Chicago) as part of a group tour. We booked our 2 nights there at Anton Guest House. We found our accommodations to be very clean, well appointed and comfortable. Anton Guest House is located in a quiet neighborhood, an easy walk into town. We also felt that our stay at Anton Guest House was a great value. The owner, Louise, could not have been more gracious, friendly or personable. She made us feel right at home from the very start. I love breakfast time; the delicious food that Louise made for us was a great way to start the day. With a nice variety of breakfast choices on offer, each morning can be a new treat. I highly recommend Anton Guest House to anyone staying in Shrewsbury. We will definitely book there again when we return. Thank you Louise!
The Station

The hotel is in a perfect location right opposite the train station and very close to the town centre The hotel was very quiet because the bar area is not open at the moment, check in was easy the room was clean and adequate for me the bed was very comfortable, tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the ensuite bathroom was large and well equipped with shower, basin and toilet, the manager that checked me in said if I need anything replenishing to call at their other pub just up the road from the hotel, overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel it was value for money.
Shrewsbury Town Centre

Absolutely shambolic: Booked premier plus room for 2 nights: air con didn’t work so first night was literally the worst nights sleep. So hot I needed to use my inhaler! No maintenance so had to move to a normal room (no premier plus rooms available) for the second night, Couldn’t gain access through the back so had to walk all the way around after we’d been out - no one answered the buzzer….. Breakfast on day 1 was disgusting. No staff, bacon was dramatically undercooked and off. Bananas were bad. Second room - curtains hanging off the rail and no net curtains Hugely understaffed, I actually felt sorry for them, far too much which meant that the lady on breakfast on the first morning just couldn’t manage. Complaint lodged with Premier Inn but avoid st all costs!!
The Bull Inn

The Bull in Butcher Row is an iconic piece of Shrewsbury history. It is an old traditional inn. The rooms are small and clean. The staff are exceptional. I would give a hearty recommendation , in particular to, Aggie, Mia and Joe, who showed me the greatest of respect. Apart from a minor hiccough with the heating, which was resolved, my stay was a wonderful experience. Should I return to Shrewsbury I will certainly stay at the Bull in Butcher Row.
