If you're looking for a hotel in Siem Reap where you get high value for your money, the Prince Angkor Hotel & Spa is the place to go. From arrival to departure, one thing stood out above everything else: the team. Whether it was the staff at the front desk, the door attendants, the waiters, or the helpers in the restaurant, every single one of them went above and beyond to look after guests, without exception. You can tell right away this isn't just "service" being performed by routine; it's a genuinely great team that clearly enjoys what they do.
The pool area is the perfect spot to unwind after a day exploring Angkor Wat. The hotel also offers its own selection of tours at very affordable prices, so you don't have to worry about arranging logistics yourself.
On the food side, the in-house restaurant delivers on two fronts: alongside solid Western options, it's absolutely worth trying the Khmer dishes. Unlike in Thailand, you don't need to worry about overly spicy food here, everything is perfectly balanced and tastes fantastic. If you try nothing else, order the Fish Amok.
Beyond that, the hotel also has a spacious spa area. I didn't get to try it myself, but several other guests raved about it, saying it's great value for money.
The location is another big plus, just a 10-minute ride from Pub Street, putting plenty of restaurants and bars within easy reach. And the hotel itself has real character: a touch of history, lovely art throughout, and a design that gives it a distinctive charm you don't always find in bigger chain hotels.
All in all: a hotel that gets the essentials right, with a team that makes the difference. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Siem Reap and Angkor Wat.
