I loved the time here. Everything was beautiful and everyone was very kind. The massage was excellent :) The food was very tasty. The location is pretty beautiful because it’s directly on the ski slopes :) I think if you want to go to this hotel it will be a wonderful trip with lots of great memories

Stopped off here for lunch with husband avd our 2 children while skiing and as it was a gorgeous sunny day we sat outside. Outside area is lovely and walk through to the toilets shows the inside is beautiful. However we were disappointed with a few points. We ordered drinks, sprite, 2 cokes and I just wanted water so asked for tap water. Sorry said waitress, who was really quite rude, we can’t serve tap water outside, you need to buy bottled water at 4 euros!! Really??? Apparently because there is no tap outside?! Food arrived, mine and children’s were delicious, carbonara (huge portions) and Tirol cheese dish, but my husband didn’t enjoy his burger at all and felt the meat tasted very cheap. We had to ask repeatedly for cutlery and serviettes. Our plates weren’t cleared even by the time we’d paid our 93 euro bill and left. Shame as a beautiful setting and the food was mostly very tasty. Let down by waiting staff and this ridiculous no tap water rule when every other place in Kühtai we’ve visited is quite happy to give out the tap water without problem!!

We really enjoyed staying at VAYA. Location is best in town! Staff, service and atmosphere was excellent. The massage was wonderful. Only reason for not making it 5 star review is because not option to regulate the extremely hot room, except from constant open windows. Not sure if it is a “corona left over”, but sticking to the same table for breakfast and every night dinner gets boring.

A wonderful hotel in the best possible place in Kühtai, directly at the slope! The hotel has been entirely renovated. It has become a very modern and stylish place. The rooms are very nice, we had: the Luxe and Grand double rooms, both very nicely arranged with extremely comfortable beds! We have enjoyed the bath in a very fancy bathing tap! The staff is very friendly, young people who are doing their utmost to satisfy all the wishes. I booked a massage and I was very happy with the treatment, a physiotherapist with great experience was taking away all the stress of my muscles after a long skiing day. The spa area is wonderful with many different saunas and a quite large pool! The only thing what I miss vs old Astoria is the apres ski bar, that is open after one returns from skiing. How lovely would it be to enjoy the view with a cup of hot wine!

An excellent hotel in a top location with a view of the slopes. Breakfast and dinner are interestingly prepared and always different. Top service. Sauna, pool and massages also greatly included in the hotel. I'm coming back next year for sure.

We had booked a six night stay at this hotel in June from 5/7/2023 until 11/7/2023. At the time of our booking, they allowed dogs (we have a printout of the pet policy at that time (and it can be checked on archive.org also). We were due to arrive today, and shortly before our arrival the hotel phoned us and told us that the policy had changed and dogs were forbidden in summertime. We relied on what the hotel told us at the time of our booking, and they took a 30% deposit from us. We asked for a refund and they denied it and kept our money. We had to book in at a different hotel at extra expense. The gentlemen on the phone was rude, talked over us and had no difficulty keeping our money irrespective of the fact they gave us one set of information at the time of the booking and then changed it making the stay impossible. The even admitted they changed the policy. A truly shocking and despicable way to treat guests.

Unfortunately, we come home from the VAYA in Kühtai with unpleasant experiences. First of all, we would like to say that we are by no means fussy or unwilling to recognize quality and reward it accordingly. When we spend our vacation in B&Bs or small hotels, we know what to expect and what we can expect. Our expectation was correspondingly higher when staying in your house at over 400 euros per day in a double room. The website is incredibly promising, which is why we chose the VAYA in Kühtai and booked it from December 25th to December 30th, 2022. Visually, everything about the premises is as illustrated on the website. Very tastefully and nicely furnished. The room is great and the spa area is also very positive to mention! Everything is very neat, bright and spacious. Towels and drinks were also always available. Unfortunately, that was it... the list of negative points is unfortunately a lot longer. The day after our arrival we already tried to talk to the management of the hotel in order to give them the opportunity to improve. The main message was that nothing could be changed about the service in such a short time. They wanted to apologize for it with free drinks one evening. We noted the following during the said conversation. Service: On arrival there was no explanation or a short tour to show where to find what. Also the signs are not really sufficient or complete. When we arrived with our luggage, we first took the small elevator to the left of the reception. Our room number was not written above, so we went down again, across the hotel to the big elevator. Later we found out that our room could have been reached via a hallway. With a few exceptions, the service team only speaks English. In itself not a problem, but a reference to this would have been good, so that one could have prepared for it. We also had to look for the ski room first and how the locker locking system worked was only shown on request. The locker was stored incorrectly on the room card or a different locker number opened than the one given at reception. Our locker was then also assigned to a guest who arrived later. He just put our skis out instead of telling you, which you didn't come for, which is cheeky! Restaurant: The service team made an effort but was completely unstructured. Explanation of the hotel management: It is difficult to find trained hotel employees, which is why they hire what is available (dental assistants, etc.). However, it should be a prerequisite that the team understands the food and drink menu in German. The question arises why the hotel management does not train the staff sufficiently in such a house and why is it not properly divided up, so that it is not felt that everyone does everything and why?

First of all, we would like to point out that we consciously chose a four-star hotel and not a five-star hotel and our rating is based on that. It was also a bit of a challenge to get a hotel with four stars, wellness and right on the slopes during the ski season for just under €200 per person, with half board per night. Of course, we could be upset that the reception seemed a little overwhelmed upon arrival and there is also a little room for improvement in the parking spaces booked. But overall the staff, including the waitresses and the hard-working employees who clean the rooms, are extremely friendly and helpful. Even if not everyone always spoke German.😉 Overall, the hotel is very tastefully decorated, the rooms are a mix of modern and rustic wood, and the sauna area is more than recommended. The only thing I would perhaps give as advice if someone booked with a view of the hillside. State that you don't want to go to the lower floor. Because you have half a view of a wall and then the slope above it. This is of course extremely advantageous for a skilful break from the slopes directly into the room (if your partner opens the window in time), but it is not quite as nice for the view. All we can say about the food is that it doesn't taste like Michelin cuisine, but we didn't have that included in the price either. Despite everything, it was good, super varied, from all cuisines in the world and always excellent and modernly furnished. All in all a successful stay!! Not five stars, which we hadn't booked either... but definitely four with potential!

Coincidence brought us to the Vaya Resort in Kühtai for three great days of skiing. We were received more than warmly. The hotel manager himself did not hesitate to park our car in the underground car park. Not an easy task, because the house was fully booked even in mid-March. All other employees were extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. The location of the hotel is just great. From the ski cellar it goes directly onto the slopes. The terrace is also perfect for a lunch break in the sun. This is how you can enjoy the skiing days. We were very satisfied!
