I spend almost 5 days in this hotel, for you guys who looking for budget hotel this one is. The room is clean overall ok, but this hotel is in the red district area, for me it’s not a big deal. All good 😊 👍🏻

A very clean and centrally located budget hotel which is close to restaurants of all budgets and flavours. The Aljunie mrt station is within 10-min walking distance, local buses to various places in Singapore are just steps away. The hotel space is adequate for two. Highly recommended for budget travellers.

Been staying in 81 star for multiple times, good location (near to bus station & eateries nearby), value for money.

Hotel is clean and it is quiet, but the pillows can be improved. Free parking is much appreciated.

Out of the three Premiers, Star felt the least... polished.
The mattresses might have been the old ones from Princess, they were a little stiff, hard mattresses. My roommate was tossing and turning trying to find a comfortable position until they tired themselves out. The service is still good and helpful. The TV I had was also one of the older models where it's just YouTube and Youtube kids with Mediacorp Channels. couldn't screen share for Netflix or Disney Plus. In comparison to its siblings, it felt a little underwhelming. Hollywood and Princess, honestly feel like those three-star lofts once you enter the room, but Star still feels like it's lagging behind its two other siblings.

Overall still a good experience. just maybe the TVs can change to the good ones.

The hotel is quite clean, but very small (there is a sink in the room itself, since the toilet room is tiny). For a couple of overnight stays, the room is acceptable, but definitely not for a long stay, you will not have enough space and air (the windows do not open).
Considering the price tag in Singapore, I think we've come across a good option. One of the advantages is the metro is within walking distance.
