From the out of way location to all the mishaps, I wish no one has to experience the following at this hotel:
1. This hotel is situated in a random corner orchard road with no public transportation. Human walking will take you up a hill, so car only is my advice
2. Im not sure where in Trip does it mention this, but at the moment, there is renovation works which was horrendously loud in the morning. (This is extra bad as due to the point 3.) We were only informed via a printed letter inside the room after check-in
3. The toilet plumbing broke which caused toilet to be flooded and we had to change rooms in the middle of the night. This really disturbed my sleep and made my whole afternoon next day just feeling bad.
4. ＜The room they switched us to＞ Greeted with a waft of cigarette smell. Bathtub in poor condition, dirty and cracked. To top it off, someone's dirty socks left in the room
Other small discomforts (not usually an issue if not for the above)
a. Already upset and wanting to leave, i opened the door and was greeted with the maintenance crew cart which blocked the entire exit. I would be less annoyed if there was no choice, but just 1-2m left of the room is a space without any room doors.
b. Leaf blower when trying to swim. This is fine and good for swimming pool maintenance but it was just loud and disruptive to the otherwise peaceful swim.
Okays some good points to be fair
-the games facility was fun, enjoyed the air hockey table
-chrimstmas treats included free cookies and beverages
Overall they succeeded in trying to be special but missed the fundamentals of what a hotel should have. Feel free to peruse the photos as evidence for all my claims.
