After an absence of over 30 months, we managed the sheer madness of air travel and arrived at our favourite corner in Cyprus, the Library. Covid has definitely left its stamp - the tourists have not yet returned in droves - but absurdly, it made the love and care invested in this boutique hotel, the wonderful, generous, open hearted personality of the owners , the cleanliness, and the warmth you feel when staying here shine even more. Sadly the Mitos restaurant chef passed away suddenly a few months ago. Kindly, Anna Maria offered to cook a fully fledged meal for us, which we ate in the courtyard whilst her father kept us company with witty conversation and she checked from home that everything was ok. It was just like visiting old true friends, and as soon we left we planned to come back. Because that is just how it is with the Library. Have a good summer.
