Solihull District Hotels with Wi-Fi

I used this hotel for 2 days business during the B2022 Commonwealth Games. Ideally located as I was flying in and out. Very good transport links although shuttle bus was not running for duration of Games. It will start up again once Games are over. Quick, efficient check-in. Very spacious executive room on 3rd floor, spotlessly clean and well stocked with coffee and water. Good shower and bath which again were spotlessly clean. Air conditioning worked really well and maintained a great temp. The breakfast is good. I have stayed in many hotels around airports and this airy seating space along with a fresh and wide ranging choice of breakfast food and drinks is right up there. Staff were all attentive and very professional. This is the first time I have stayed here but was very impressed and would not hesitate to return.

This was our first time travelling from Birmingham Airport (we usually fly from Gatwick). We always book a hotel stay for the night before our flight and due to the proximity of the Novotel to Birmingham Airport we chose to stay here. Prior to our arrival I had looked at reviews on here and reached out to the hotel requesting interconnecting rooms (we are a family of 6 - 2 adults and 4 under 12s). We were advised that the request had been noted but could not be guaranteed. Thankfully we were allocated connecting rooms with the added bonus of an amazing view! The rooms themselves were well appointed and had ample space. I really liked the mirrored doors in the bathroom! The beds were comfy and the children who slept on the rollaway & sofa bed said they were also comfortable! Rooms were clean. All the staff we encountered were welcoming and friendly - including the gentleman who delivered our room service order (which was well presented and tasty)! At the time of writing bookings are required to dine in the restaurant (there is a menu inside the lifts which is also the room service menu). If you wish to dine inside of the airport (before security) then your options are Greggs,, M&S, Spar & Costa - the restaurants on the first floor are closed - I believe they are expanding the security area. Overall a great stay and should we fly from Birmingham again we would definitely stay again.

Received a warm welcome at check in. Within a few minutes we were In our room which we found very clean and cozy. Bathroom was kitted out with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the shower area.Wash are has liquid soap supplied. Sleeping area had good electrical socket availability if needed. We had a kettle with tea, coffee, milk and sugar/sweetener. Wardrobes for hanging clothes with extra bedding and a hairdryer if needed. Restaurant staff like the other staff are extremely friendly and even enjoy banter with the customers. We had breakfast which is a buffet style. Food is cooked perfectly and clean with very little grease on the fried items. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant. It’s very hard to find fault anyway in the hotel.

A ten minute walk from the station or a 10 minute taxi ride - I would suggest walking if the weather is ok and you only have a small case. The receptionists are lovely, I could leave my case in left luggage for both days of my trip, very useful. Room was perfect for an overnight stay, very comfy bed. The pool is just right for a relaxing swim too. Dinner was lovely despite a smaller menu, (only one chef). Breakfast was amazing, pretty much anything you could want, including a choice of bacon! The only things letting it down slightly were the need for undercases on the pillows and a bit of TLC on the lounge furniture, along with more attentive hoovering.

We stayed here after we missed our flight and had to stay near the airport for the next day. The place was exceptional. The reservation receptionist was extremely welcoming, accommodating, and helpful. The facilities were excellent, and clean, refrigerator and kettle in the room with a gym and washing machine facilities in the hotel. The TV section is very good in the room. Check-out is 12 midday which suited us less time waiting in the airport. The airport is only steps away which has grocery shopping M&S, spar and restaurants for quick bites outside the hotel. There is a tram/bus to get into Birmingham city 6kilomteres away. The price is very good and appropriate for the quality of stay.

We'd booked this hotel through a website, but probably could have got a better deal if we'd gone to Ibis direct. The beauty of the hotel is that you are 2 minutes from Departures at Birmingham Airport. When you've got an early morning flight this is a definite benefit, just to get a little extra sleep before you travel. The room itself was a good size. Plenty of space for us and our two large cases. Room and bathroom were clean as well. Even better, no noise from other rooms came through (OK you will get selfish people making noise down corridors on occasion - not much can be done about that I'm afraid). Went to the bar to have a drink which was fine. There is a place to eat, but we'd eaten before leaving home. Check in and check out was really quick as well.

This was our second stay at the Royal Square Hotel after our first stay in February 2023. We came back in 2024 because our first stay was so great. The staff were so friendly it was just a pleasure to be here. Some of the rooms are quite small but so is the price - about a third of the price of other larger hotels nearby so it all felt very fair and great value. One of the few to throw in a free breakfast too. When we were here in 2023 I lost my phone and the man at reception could not do enough to help me get it back again. In the morning he was out flagging a taxi down for us too. When we came back in 2024 we were met again by a cheery friendly face - this year it was Yohan and he was smily and a pleasure to deal with. We paid a little extra for a bigger room and it was great value. I would not hesitate to recommend them and I hope they will always have a room available when we are in Birmingham! : )

Wow! Is all I can say! We got married at The Manor Hotel in Meriden in December 2022 and it was the perfect day. Liridona Tahiri was our wedding planner. Her responsiveness and attention to detail was excellent. She never felt that any question was too daft or unimportant and always responded to my emails in a timely manner. She was approachable and kind and always had time to listen to any concerns. Because of her our day went really smoothly. All of the staff on the day were so accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure all the wedding party was happy and they had everything they needed. Nothing was too much trouble. I would just like to say, if you are booking your wedding I would 100% recommend the team at The Manor. Our guests are still telling us what a fabulous wedding we had. You can have total confidence that the team at The Manor are on your side. Even when our die-hard guests were reluctant to go to bed at 2am the staff were still lovely about it. Having lunch at Hogarths was the ultimate dining experience. Driving into the beautiful grounds was a pleasure and being greeted by cheerful staff was welcomed and always a good start! Everywhere is immaculate and decorated with eye catching artistry. Check out Fred the fine art installation! Hogarths have successfully created an ambience where you can switch off and be any where in the world. Absolutely love the garden island, it’s enchanting! Food! Wow! Our lunch was just delish. We chose to try the eclectic choice of club Sandwiches but they were not just any ordinary sandwiches! I recommended the book keeper beef! Yum! Thank you everyone at Hogarths we had such a lovely time and will be back! Thanks Lee for the guide, great fun! Highly recommend!
