Beautiful view from the balcony. Great hotel with welcoming staff.

From arrival to departure we were treated very well. The hotel is beautiful, clean and very welcoming. We decided to not eat out in the evening in Sorrento as the standard of food in the hotel was magnificent.We wish to thank some members of staff in particular for making our stay so wonderful. Firstly, to Luigi, Antonio, Francesca and Giovanni for making our mealtime so special. They were all very friendly and professional. We looked forward to our evening meal each night. Our evenings and afternoons in the bar area were again a lovely experience. Antonino was welcoming and made fantastic cocktails.Some evenings had a pianist playing in the bar which was lovely. We need to commend your staff on the happy and relaxed atmosphere they all provided during our stay. We spent some time in the Spa and Marco was just a delight. He was caring and very good at his job. Always asking how we were and smiling. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for your holiday. It is a bit of a climb to the town centre if you choose to use the wee path but the shuttle bus(which is free) is excellent. The only downside is the pool was very cold but it was April.

Older style hotel but with the most amazing views! We arrived late at night and check in was fine, nothing elaborate and we were shown to our room...which wasn't a room we were put in a suite that was attached the separate villas building. It was on the ground floor with a balcony area. Room was clean, big, bed was big, bathroom a good size but everything was a little dated. The breakfasts were standard buffet style and you had to wait to be seated - obviously, the tables outside on the balcony are hard to get but we managed both mornings. Couldn't get a coffee one morning because the self service machines were all broken. It was definitely free for all and there were lots of package holiday tourists there who were given all the attention from staff, especially those that are returnees. We were out most days/nights so did not eat dinner here. The pool was quite small for a big hotel and as we were out so much we didn't get the time to use it or the pool bar, but looked like you needed to nab a sunbed quite early. The wifi was pretty good and didn't have any issues with connectivity. As you are quite a way up the mountain you need to get a shuttle bus to and from the town. They are first in first served so make sure you don't get the times wrong. It was annoying if you wanted to have a leisurely breakfast and go out a bit later as there was a break during lunch times. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the views were stunning but I would definitely stay somewhere closer to town if I was to visit again.

The hotel is beautiful - clean, modern with different zones all of which allow you to see the wonderful views of Sorrento. The staff are so helpful and friendly- all are efficient and take a pride in their jobs. The food and drinks were excellent and cost wise on a par with Sorrento prices. Breakfast Buffett was an absolute treat with so much variety and easy to understand the self service routine. Once again the star of the show was the unenviable views. The shuttle bus was a bonus but we walked up and down to Sorrento a few times and it only takes 25 minutes - worth it for the views!! Marianna the TUI rep was lovely and helpful too. The GPH and Sorrento exceeded our expectations and we will definitely return!!

Sending a note of thanks for our amazing trip. It was such a great holiday, it was amazing end to end thank you so much. We all had such a wonderful time exploring and partaking of all the Italian delights and boy were there many. The hotel was really well appointed with great facilities and a v useful free regular shuttle bus to Sorrento town centre. The decor is classy in a classical Italian style with spacious expanses of marble and wood with incredible panoramic sea views on all floors over Sorrento town and the bay of Naples and Vesuvius. The staff, especially Carla and Giuseppe at reception made us feel very welcome and looked after our every need and our upgraded villa rooms were luxurious and spacious. Having a delicious breakfast Al fresco overlooking the bay of Naples was a daily treat to look forward to. It truly was the trip of a lifetime and a slice of La Dolce Vita. Something we'll hold onto for a long, long time. Recommended.

We had such a great time at Grand President Hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, the waiters and kitchen staff work really hard to provide a tasty and varied menu. The cleaners keep the hotel spotless. Wines and beers are good and we enjoyed sitting in the bar admiring the amazing view across Sorrento, to the Bay of Naples onto Vesuvius. There is a lovely walk into town, turn right out of the hotel then take the first right. A cobbled, wide path takes you downhill to Sorrento. After several enjoyable hours in town we made use of the hotel courtesy bus back up the hill for a well-earned beer. Pompeii, Herculaneum and a walk up Vesuvius to look into the crater were excellent experiences. Sorrento etc are busy places but great destinations.

my family and I stayed for 5 days, we were impressed by the view of the entire gulf of Naples and by the friendliness of all the staff, in particular MARCO from the SPA who massaged my son, my husband and me, who made us really relax, after all three of us we were in total well-being. delicious food, abundant breakfast and shuttle every 30 minutes that takes you to the center of Sorrento. highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the stunning view on the Gulf of Naples and the volcano Vesuvio. Besides, we would like to say THANK YOU to all the friendly people who work in this hotel - in the restaurant, cleaning the rooms as well as at the reception. Also the gardener does a very nice job and has impressed us with his passion.
