Massive hotel with 618 rooms, fresh and sea water pools and its own beach. Stayed here for two nights at the end of a small-group tour of Tunisia. Friendly helpful staff. Large rooms with all mod cons. Huge choice of food at breakfast and (buffet) dinner.

Definitely not a 5* but can’t fault it too much, the hotel was clean, staff were all friendly and welcoming - especially bar/ waiting on staff. Animation team were absolutely brilliant with us the whole time we were there. Always very cheerful and fun doing pool activities and getting involved with the guests. Only 1 problem with the staff was the guy who took our luggage of us, seemingly can’t of give him a good enough tip for then on he was rude towards us spoke to everyone else but not to us even when spoken too. Which was a shame because tips shouldn’t determine how you should treat someone. Bed & pillows were very comfy, the room was a good size plenty of space. We had a view facing the beach which was a nice view especially watching the sunrise in the morning - only problem was the noise at night time was very noisy especially on weekends could do with some better doors to block the noise the out. The handle to our balcony door was broken. Food was good, lots of different choices but was same throughout all week apart from Saturday, got a little sick of eating the same things. Puddings were great. Good location for the hotel, beach right opposite the hotel, lots of shops and restaurants close by within walking distance everyone even in the shops were welcoming and friendly. Pool area was good a nice big pool and big selection of sun lounges ( you have to go early to get a decent sun lounger) chilled music played throughout the day in pool area which was nice and relaxing. Lots of shade for when you get too warm in the sun. Although we didn’t have housekeeping in our room they were more than happy to help when we needed. Very friendly always got a good morning and good afternoon of them.

I had the worst facial trea**ent ever in this hotel ‘hotel hasdrubal thalassa spa’. There was no explanation about the trea**ent or the products, the chair was uncomfortable and I was under the steamer for about 20 min that was too hot and too close to my face. The woman left and came back later, then applied a mask and again left the room for about 20 min. Normally in the mean time they massage your hands or feet but now I pay 80 euro to be left alone in the room for most of the time with just a steamer and a mask. The water was cold and normally for comfort they use a hot towel or cottons to remove products. After the trea**ent my skin felt really sticky… I said this immediately to the spa manager but he didn’t reply anything. Not a sorry or any explanation.. I understand that every country has his own way of trea**ents but you would not expect this from a 5 star hotel. I did had a good experience in the hammam! It was clean and the trea**ent was nice. But I definitely not recommend the facial trea**ents.

The hotel is close to the sea and the ancient city of Sousse. The transportation is convenient, the access is very convenient, the room rate is cheap, and a dinner is included, but the room facilities are very old, the toilet has no threshold, the water is easy to overflow, and there is no quilt on the bed. Sleeping is very cold at night.

Monastir has a beautiful view. The castle on the slopes is a bird's eye view of the curved beaches and piers filled with hundreds of yachts and sailboats. A few hundred meters from the castle to the city center is the Medina surrounded by the ancient city walls. Our Marina Cap Monastir-Apart’hotel is located on the other side of the castle castle. From the door of the room, you can see the light blue and white boats and masts in the levee. Brilliant hotel the best I have ever stayed at. And I could eat to my hearts content due to the restaurant manager being so helpful and understanding of my allergy. I felt very looked after by all of the staff. All staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are always cleaned to a high standard every day. The food is flavoursome and plentiful. The hotel is clean and looked after. Admittedly the pool tables could need a make over. But that’s about it. I cannot thank the restaurant manager enough as I was able to eat lots of many different foods. The last hotel I stayed at In Tunisia limited me to certain foods due to the head chef or anybody there having any interest in my serious Nut allergy. So I cannot thank him enough for providing me with fabulous puddings every time I visited. I know I’ve banged on about the food a lot but in an all exclusive you want the food as well as the booze? Rami restaurant waiter lovely guy. Always helpful funny and friendly. Only downside from my point was the other suited managers that were always hanging around looking glum watching the hard working staff and doing little else. But hey that’s a manager for ya.? Anyway 10/10 with everything.
