Really awful stay. Room changed the night before , the furthest and highest room , lost count of flight of stairs with 2 suitcases and small child not an easy task. Very dirty bathroom especially and lamp didn’t work in bedroom. Kettle full of mildew and could not use. Just awful!

Stayed in starboard suite which was immaculate. Really comfortable and clean. Spacious room with bay window. Shower is really powerful highly recommended. Could I suggest there was a plug socket near the mirror for people who may want to do their hair with straighteners or hairdryer. Thanks for great stay

Perfect service, the instructions couldn't be clearer. Rooms above what you would pay for the same elsewhere. Recommend 100% the coffee and tea providing was what you wouldn't get somewhere elsewhere. The bed was very comfortable and I never heard one noise even though it is beside a busy street.

Booked to stay here the day before leaving for a cruise. Rail strike changed travel plans so then booked a second day. Staff were great in making sure we had the same room despite booking months apart. We even got a free upgrade! Room is lovely with plenty of space and huge bathroom with whirlpool bath. Free wifi too and easy instructions for secure entry to the property. Very happy! We were able to walk here from the train station ( about 15 mins). Dinner was an easy choice as there is a popular street just round the corner with several restaurants/ bars. Plenty of choice. After we went a walk to the harbour - again an easy walk - less than ten minutes. Will stay an time cruising again - or if taking a break down this way again. There are no staff on the premises but have been very easy to contact and have kept updated as the trip got closer so would not put me off! Our rooms is upstairs - it is an old building so the stairs reflect this - not just one stairway but different sets of stairs. Stairways though are well kept. There is a restaurant below rooms ( we heard no noise but were here midweek) . Did not try that. Menu not to personal choice. All in all though - very happy with the rooms and service given.

The waste bin in the bathroom had not been emptied following the previous occupant. It was full of rubbish and blood-soaked paper. The waste bin in the bedroom had also not been emptied, it was full of soiled rubbish. I was not notified of the steep and narrow staircase until after I had booked, and I could not cancel without losing money. The shower pressure is inadequate. No double-glazing, and very noisy traffic in the morning.

It was not clearly advertised as having to climb at least 35 stairs until i got the email on the day of leaving for my holiday. being a severe asthmatic and having broken my ankle in February this year i struggled to get upstairs and needed numerous puffs of inhaler. I decided to wash my hands and face and have a wash but there was no plug or chain to be seen at all to hold the water into the basin. The shower door did not open totally along so i could not get into the shower at all. overall I was very disappointed with my trip. The bed was very comfortable.

1. STAIRS (NO LIFT) 2.HAD TO TRY CODE ON 6 ROOMS TIL WE FOUND OURS. 3. NO SUITCASE REST. 4. VERY HOT & COLD FAUCETS SEPARATE AND NO SINK PLUG...SO HARD TO WASH WITHOUT SCALDING. 5. NO BREAKFAST AS COMMON WITH OTHERS. 6. ON THE SECOND FLOOR ON STREET SIDE WITH ALL TRAFFIC NOISE. 7. NO A/C AND HOT DAY/NIGHT...HAD NOISY FLOOR FAN THOUGH. 8. 11 AM CHECK OUT VERSUS 12PM FOR OTHERS. 9. 2 HANGERS. 10. MINI MINI TV. 11. NO CHAIRS. 12 AS UNATTENDED. NO HELP GETTING TAXI AND AS ABOVE A BAR VERY NOISY...IE DO NOT STAY HERE. GO YO THE IBIS OR SOMETHING SIMILAR FOR LESS, UNLESS YOU ENJOY NAILING YOUR FOOT TO THE FLOOR OR STAPLING YOUR EYES SHUT...DO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE ( WE HAVE BEEN TO 199 COUNTRIES/TERRITORIES AND ARE WELL TRAVELED, SO WE KNOW OF WHAT WE SPEAK)

room was small and cramped. bed was very uncomfortable. Road noise was constant even the noise of the fan couldn't drown it out . Very hot and claustrophobic

My check-in is anything but smooth and straightforward. They send me instructions on how to check in a day before. However, they changed it on a short notice (the day of my check-in) without informing me! They sent about 9:00am on the day but not everyone is checking their emails on a holiday! Upon checking in, my room smells like someone smoked a pack of cigarettes and I did not have any choice but to move as I do not tolerate third-hand smoke. Sadly, I cannot say kind words to describe my stay. Please improve your service. Would prefer at least one staff to be present to ensure smooth check in because the last thing you want in your holiday is to mind these nitty-gritty stressful bits.

A really disappointing stay, all the reviews seemed middle of the line so I was expecting just a basic hotel room. Firstly, there isn't a reception, everything is key coded to access. My room was spacious but the furniture was low quality, like the wardrobe it moved if you touched it. But my biggest problem was the noise from the street and the roof. There was constant rattling in the room which made it completely uncomfortable to sleep in. Not to mention the quality of the bed, you could feel the mattress springs and the duvet was poor quality so you spent more time sweating to death than sleeping. Really, really disappointing, I wouldn't stay here again.

We had to walk up flights of winding stairs to our room. The bed was extremely soft and we could feel the springs. When my husband and I saw the ear plugs we knew it would be noisy. After a 7 hour flight we were hoping for a good night’s sleep. Some improvements are necessary.

Would definitely give this a swerve, Had to move room after night 1 due to window not shutting was like sleeping on the pavement. Was told I'd get a £40 refund never happened. Entry door wasn't working correctly kept reporting they kept trying to say it was me, however got videos of it not working and next day they said it was now not working. Never anyone to contact if any issues myself and another couple where left outside trying to gain access for a while on arrival, rang number left a voicemail never replied, restaurant owner next door even tried said he knew the owners he even said it's broke, this happened the next night also this is when I took the video after 15 minutes I finally got in. They now apparently got the same booking off me twice so have charged me twice but won't refund even though they know it's an error by the booking agent. Worst Ever

Should have read that narrow steps up to rooms with no lift ! we had two large cases and room was on second floor , so not ideal Good location Small but comfortable room

Great little hotel in a central location. Very clean and well managed. Keypad entry is easy once you get used to it and no key to lose!

The code they gave me did not unlock the front door. I rang the number but no one picked up. I left a voice mail and no one rang me back. I managed to chat to someone online through ********** messages who said I could have a refund but they haven't even done that and I was left with no where to stay!
