We stayed here for almost a week (two stays occupying two rooms for each stay) during our recent holiday in Switzerland. The hotel stay was reasonable and while we had a few problems for one stay like that of the air condition not working and some plumbing problems, Srdjan and Michael were very helpful and during our second stay we were given much better rooms on the fourth floor. Some comments follow: Room: our fourth-floor room was better than the fifth-floor room given to us earlier. The tranquil view of the landscape outside was nice but on the last day prior to checking-out there was a Thai party. The sound of guests was disturbing in the room but as we were checking-out for our flight early in the morning we did not feel very inconvenient. Bathroom: Housekeeping were good at cleaning and making up the room. However, in the first room we occupied there was a basin leakage which took a few days to correct. Room service: we did not use this service. Location: for those who can familiarize themselves with the local train and tram station routes, the hotel location is good because the tram station is just outside the hotel. The tram takes about 10 minutes to the station. There also is a nice shopping mall nearby. Check-in: Fair. Could have been shorter considering I am a Hilton Diamond member. Staff: Friendly and one lady did give us a little discount for the inconvenience experienced from the temporarily malfunctioning air conditioner and plumbing. Breakfast: Nice with a good variety. Concierge: the concierge provided us with help to do our local taxi bookings and were helpful in guiding us to use the local trams and trains. For the trains the day passes made our local travel economical as compared to using taxis. Generally enjoyed our stay. Munir D.

Delicious breakfast, clean room. Enthusiastic staff. Location near the center, convenient transportation for guests staying at the hotel.

A strange experience. Main issue was the lack of air conditioning - it was 31 degrees outside and around double that in the hotel. I find it astonishing that a/c is absent in a country that has hot weather for at least 4 months a year. Another problem was arriving at 2pm and having to wait an hour to check in (with a tired baby). In fairness we discovered that the official check-in time is 3pm, but we didn’t see more than about 20 other guests, so I have no idea how it could take them so long to clean the rooms. Clearly the hotel does not employ enough cleaners. The staff were generally helpful, especially the manager of the terrace restaurant. However the above issues spoiled the visit.

I stayed in a pod after arriving back on a late flight, instead of driving home at midnight. The pod was nice, very comfortable. The temperature was marginally too warm for me however, and you can't change the settings. That's where the positive experience ended. My phone charging port didn't work - that's fine - I can overlook that, but it's not ideal I was woken at 4.30am by people getting up and ready for the early morning flights. They were crashing and banging around with the doors and fiddling around with their luggage. Ultimately I couldn't get back to sleep because of the continued crashing and banging and ultimately only got 3.45 hrs sleep (I know this because my fitness tracker tells me so). So it was completely pointless staying - I would have got a better night's sleep at home with my 3 year old and 10 month old in the room next door. I believe the hotel's model doesn't work for the following reasons: 1) Each pod has a door with a very noisy latch. The latch doesn't have to be noisy if people are considerate, but a lot of people aren't considerate at the best of times, let alone at 4am in the morning when getting up for an early flight. It's all well and good to have lots of signs saying ”shh!” On the walls, but most people don't see it, or at least it doesn't sink in. I stayed in a capsule hotel on Japan that has roller blinds instead of doors, which are much quieter 2) people are allowed to bring their luggage into the sleeping space. This invites people to fiddle around with their luggage, which disturbs others from their sleep. Again, in the pod hotel in Japan, people must lock their luggage in lockers in the changing rooms, and are not allowed to take anything into the sleeping space - it works much better 3) the hotel has plenty of separate rooms, with a number of pods in each. Why not allocate guests to rooms by their time of arrival and departure, so that late arrivers don't disturb early departures, and vice versa? Overall, if the above 3 things are fixed, I'd probably stay again, but otherwise, definitely not

I must say I am very satisfied with this accommodation. There’s a free shuttle van to the hotel upon arrival (just exit Arrival Door 2 and turn left, find a digital board and see the timing of each shuttle). Check-in was smooth and front desk staff was accommodating. The room has all the basic necessities except for a fridge (which is not a problem for me). The location is not far from the airport and near (around 10 minutes leisure walk) to Rumlang Train Station to connect to Zurich HB.

A very affordable hotel at switzerland, especially Zurich. Given that most bnb was quite expensive and not quite affordable for a young traveller like me. This hotel is good as in the environment and service. Close to supermarket and tram stations also. (Roughly 5mins walk)

With the stay in a 6-bed dorm room being just an ordinary experience, the best about this place in my opinion are outside the room and specifically the ”wide corridors” nicely spacious to walk around & the ”huge lounge” downstairs with plenty of work-spaces (big tables & chairs all around). And yes, also pretty ”nice & filling” was its buffet-styled breakfast with really a variety of items (actually food available throughout the day with lunch & dinner as well but which you have to pay for unlike the breakfast included with the stay). If coming here from the Zurich Central (HB) Station, there's the train first to Hardbrucke (just one station from HB) followed by the bus to Jugendherberge (about a 15-minute ride and getting off at the station just before its last stop of Morgental). And if going downtown from here to the area with the city's ”main churches” (Fraumunster, Grossmunster & St. Peter's), there's a tram at just about a 5-minute walk ”straight from” the front entrance (and likely at a frequent interval).

Visiting the area, I chose this hotel for its convenient access by public transport - bus every 15min to downtown Baden - and reasonable price - cheaper than in the city centre. My overnight stay was excellent. A big thumbs-up for the whole staff: whether at reception or during breakfast, each team member was smiling and helpful. The room reflected the usual Ibis standards. Bed and mattress of good quality - I slept perfectly well. Congrats for the soundproofing which is truly excellent: despite the busy road passing by and the motorway just at the back of the hotel, I did not hear any noise at all. Compared to other Ibis hotels, this property is offering air-conditioning in all rooms - much appreciated during the hot days. As usual in Switzerland, room and bathroom spotlessly clean. Thumbs-up for the breakfast offer with a generous and tasty buffet: Various breads and Danish pastries from local bakeries, Swiss cheese, cold cuts, yoghurt and birchermuesli, fresh fruit salad, various preserves. Even scrambled eggs are available. All in all, an excellent and tasty experience, better than in other Ibis properties. This is an excellent address for a stay in Baden, with outstanding value for money. I will gladly come back.
