The LaLit Grand Palace Srinagar

Fabulous location, we were welcomed very warmly and the car was valet parked which was important as it was cold and raining. We were offered a warm drink and a comfortable place to sit whilst the formalities of check in were completed. We didn’t even have time to finish our drink before we were offered an upgraded room at no extra cost. WOW! The room was spacious, beautifully dressed and we were shown our own private balcony with the most spectacular view and this was also very nicely furnished. Everything was as we’d hoped and expected, because the hotel is EXPENSIVE, but we received exactly what we paid for. All the staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the Pandemic has affected everyone and this hotel has had to do it’s best to survive these difficult times. The facilities in the Spa have been cut back to save costs but when we went to use it the place was warmed and treatments were enhanced to ensure we were more than satisfied. Luxury is expensive and we really enjoyed the pampering!!! All I can say is that this hotel and the treatment of their guests is everything you would expect for the price you have to pay. If wehad unlimited money we would stay only here when we visit Kashmir, which I do often to visit family. Even when we do visit family here we often visit the hotel, just to enjoy the gardens and admire the building and the ambience. Although we may not spend one penny on these visits the treatment by the staff has always been the same as we experienced on this visit. One word to describe this hotel FABULOUS.

This is a gem of a place with magical surroundings. It has a regal charm that is palpable. The lawns are sprawling and lush. The hotel rooms / suites have a one of a kind view that is tough to beat.One can choose from the usually pricier "old / original", usually larger rooms /suites, or the newer, more modern feeling rooms. The quality of service and food is definitely quite good. It is a great experience to have a meal on the grounds outside overlooking the Dal.lake in the front, and the forested mountains in the backdrop. Have been here innumerable times, and love going here again and again, as have fond memories from here.

Had a memorable stay at LALIT GRAND PALACE, SRINAGAR. We keep comming back to this wonderful place as the ambience, hospitality and overall stay is par excellence.The feel is of staying in a palace. We were there last week from 1st April to 6th April,24. The chauffeur IRSHAAD assigned to us was cherry on cake. He made us explore new places . Guided us well with ***y new things in Srinagar. His hospitality and politeness and ever eager to take us in new places won our heart. Overall THANKYOU LALIT GRAND PALACE for our wonderful and memorable stay. We want to keep comming back here. What a gorgeous property! Easily the biggest hotel property in Kashmir. Dripping with history and hospitality. Kashmiri cuisine was to die for. I especially enjoyed how compassionate the team was. I needed medicine for my dad's diabetes, and the team got it for us without flinching. Grateful! I love this property! and would go back again and again.

We visited this property while our trip to Kashmir this year.We were staying in Vivanta Dal View hotel and they told up to check this property out as it was the former royal palace of maharaja.We went to have some evening snacks and take a tour of the property.The property area was vast,spread across vast areas and the reception,lobby etc were filled with luxurious upholstery and chandeliers and were truly giving a regal vibe.We were greeted warmly by the front office executive who opted us to do a showround of the property.We found it very good.Then we went for the food and snacks at their all day dining restaurant.All the f and b associates were polite and helpful and they even accomodated our request of kolkata kathi roll which was not their menu,to be served to us.This was very good gesture from them and is very much appreciated.We went back happy and full after throughly exploring the property.

The hotel property, it's gardens and the staff were all top notch. Every staff member was kind and helpful. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality. Food is awesome and service is also good. This was my first experience in Lalit would love to come here again. Special thanks to Shahbaz who helped us to secure a cab transport at short notice. All in all an amazing experience and will definitely recommend it to everyone.

I was stayed in room no 2122 and my stay was very much comfortable I would like to mention Loni and she did a great job in providing good services and great vibes. The weather was beautiful and the set up outdoors was so nice that I would definitely come here again.

Spent 4 days in the absolutely beautiful and stunning Lalit property in Srinagar. Lovely vistas, majestic chinars, relaxed and quiet ambience and proximity to the Dal. Our stay was enhanced due to the hard work of a few people and hence a special mention to Mr Imran for his graciousness in handling our bookingand extending our stay as we had a late evening flight. He ensured we were comfortable and well rested by allowing us use of a room for a few extra hours. We really appreciate this generous gesture from him. A special mention to Mr Shabbir and Mr Ankit who took every feedback positively and always stepped up to turn a situation around. They took very good care of us. A note of appreciation for Mr Lateef who expertly and patiently took us around, fulfilling all our sightseeing needs and regaling us with anecdotes and sharing his knowlwdge and love for Srinagar. Just have to mention that this beautiful property is blooming due to the efforts of the horticulture team that painstakingly maintains the pristine and exquisite grounds. Thanks also to ***jeet Singh for a tour of the palace. Our suggestion would be that care should be taken in upkeep of the rooms. Although everyone is extremely friendly and attentive, instructions are usually not followed well.
