Comfort Hotel Airport

This was an adequate hotel for me,because I was on a tight budget. More positives than negatives. Positives were the price, fairly quiet although industrial feel setting. Room was dated, some tables were scratched , but overall clean and adequate. I liked the foyer it was updated and served coffee and tea and it had a comfortable array of furniture. Breakfast was included and that was small “b” basic. There was no butter margarine only. The fried square potatoes were fried in burnt oil. The waitressing was great. Parking was included and there is a free shuttle. This place is under five minutes from the airport. I dealt with Sophia at front desk she was lovely. In conclusion, I have a comment to make to the administration there. My floor 300 block had cig smoking going on in some of the rooms on the evening of May 19. Shocking that I could smell smoke in the hallways. The administration need to tighten up that situation immediately. No excuses. Fine the culprits .

Great room! The panoramic view is fantastic, so it's really worth a little higher price. The room is small, but it is laid out SO well. They made use of every square inch. One thing that is slightly different in the room is that you need to put a room key in the control panel as you enter as it controls the power going on. As you leave the room, you take out your room key, and it turns off all the power. Very green idea. You have a control panel at the entry of the room and on one side of the bed. Motorized blackout blinds are so convenient! There is a slide out drawer under the bed, which we were able to put most of our day to day clothes in for both of us. We hung the rest of our clothes in the closet. Really smart layout of the room, taking into consideration every opportunity of the space and how best to use it. The shower control is a learning process, but the top small lever control is the shower head to the left or the rain shower to the right. The middle is off for the shower. Had a couple of days of the cold water from the rain head when I didn'tt get it turned exactly to the middle when turning off the shower 🥶The lower handle is the temperature. There was also a larger mini fridge in the room that we used to keep drinks and snacks in. I have to give a shout-out to Mitch at the front desk! He was so helpful and informative. The housekeeping was also really great! You can turn on an electronic ”do not disturb” or request a room freshening from the control panel by the door in your room. The staff then can see the lit up panels as to who needs which. One thing I was not thrilled with was the corner cafe. The food choices were really overdone and expensive. They had burned croissants that they kept for the week I was there. They also didn't offer to heat the food. There is tea and coffee available, which I did get in the mornings. The hotel, however, is definitely a place where I will go back to EVERY time. It was conveniently located downtown. The lobby had plenty of seating, a pool table, and WiFi. It seemed that people would stop for a coffee at the cafe and sit in the lobby to work on their laptops and meet up with others. The hotel had some games you could borrow and play as well as some drinks in a cooler to buy. They have the restaurant Terre, but we didn't get a chance to go to. We ate at places all over town recommended by Mitch, all were fantastic.

I stayed at the delta in st. Johns for 6 weeks for medical reasons Jan-Mar 2023, i am a lifetime platinum member so access to concierge lounge was perfect for me for breakfast and most times supper ( Gary in concierge was excellent). Very friendly staff, do anything for you. I will not hesitate to stay there again. Always had a nice room as i had family and friends stay with me throughout my treatments.

We booked 4 nights here after debating between this location or the Hilton Doubletree. Based on location, I should have chosen Doubletree for very easy walking to restaurants as my husband had a injured leg, so we drove to eat. The hotel and room itself is very nice. Our room was large and had a great shower. However, the breakfast was the worst I have ever encountered in a Hilton. It is buffet and the price is outrageous for what you get. The continental is $10 and the ”hot” is $20. I am gold Honors so I don't pay which was a good thing. The eggs bacon etc were lukewarm, when they had them. There was no bacon one morning, no yogurt another. We did take out one night for dinner and it took 40 minutes for my order to be prepared.  Another disappointment was the laundry. Only one washer and one dryer were working. As 2 women were ahead of me, it took hours to get a load done.

Stayed here with my partner during our trip. I chose it because of its price point and location. I booked a room called 'the loft' on the booking website, which turned out to be the room on the top floor. It was the only room on that floor and so very private. The room had its own bathroom and shower, although the toilet and sink were in one area (with a door) and the shower was in this nook on the other side of the room (no door, just a shower curtain). The room had a nice comfortable bed and a little couch, a mini fridge and a tv (with cable I think - we didn't use it though). There is free wifi throughout the guest house, though the signal on our floor was a little weak at times. The room came with some basic ammenities - soap, shampoo, some dispoable makeup remover wipes. No toothpaste or conditioner. There is a communal dining area on the first floor, and there is a simple breakfast provided in the morning until 10am. The guest house has a live-in caretaker; we saw him sometimes but not all the time. The keys are left in an envelope as you enter so you can let yourself in even if the caretaker is not around. The only thing we noticed during our stay was that the toilet in our room made an odd hissing/sighing sort of noise. Otherwise it worked fine. We had the a/c on at night which drowned out the toilet sound, so we didn't mention it to the caretaker.
