Went for lunch with friends. I didn’t find too much to my liking on the menu but I chose the Chicken Caesar Salad and it was excellent. Plenty of it, clearly the sauce was made correctly and not out of a bottle and the chicken was moist and delicious. Only marked a four not a five star just because of the menu but that is a personal choice. I will go again.

Visited here as 2 adults and 2 young children (2 years and 3 years). Very accommodating for us given we asked to visit very last minute on a Sunday at Christmas during peak lunch time. Really appreciative of that. Staff are really friendly. The Sauvignon blanc white wine is lovely! Food yummy too. My only “room for improvement” comments would be that the chips for the kids meals are really really fat chips. May be personal preference but not chips my 2 or 3 year old eat. So they went to waste on the meal. Fries or slim chips would be much better than really fat chips on kids meals. Maybe they’re okay for older kids. Also if you order the children’s garlic dough balls, you get 3 for £5. Adults garlic dough balls you get the exact same thing but 6 for £5.50 so if ordering for kids, pay 50p more for double the amount. I ordered the Turkey dinner and, I could be wrong, but I swore it said “pigs in blankets” on the menu but you only get one. Aside from all these things I’d have given 5 stars. There is a service charge but the guy was very clear and direct that it was on the bill but we weren't obliged to pay it. In all honesty, because of his upfront honesty and the good service, we did actually pay it. If it had been hidden or not mentioned then we probably wouldn’t have. So we appreciated that. Recommend the chicken gyoza starter. Nice place, clean and cosy! Very welcoming and happy to help.

Went for Christmas meal with ladies I work with, waited long time before any food appeared - this was a starter for some. Then waited and waited for mains - turkey cold, veg non existent until we asked for some. Sweets for everyone dining were brought to our table - don't bother going there if you want a good meal.

We went to this restaurant while on a canal boat holiday. Most of the group had a Sunday Roast which was excellent while I had a pizza. I was pleasantly surprised and it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had!! The service was also friendly and attentive.

Went for a works christmas lunch, there were eight of us in total (one lefts after main), one ordered a starter (this took over 30 mins to arrive (terrine). Then we waited for our mains, and waited, drinks ran dry, we waited some more. Finally the main came, most of us had festive menu, turkey was cold, requested extra gravy and were given a tiny pot for the table. We tried to clear the table a bit in an attempt to move things along. Dessert was eventually ordered we had to chase this and we said the food was slow and some of the people in the party couldn’t put their feet down as the floor was so dirty, was advised that this was from breakfast. The lady serving advised that they were short staffed and would check where the desserts were. Returned to advise we hadn’t been waiting as long as we had said, but the crumbles would be 7 minutes to cook as they go through the pizza oven. Crumbles came out and I’m unsure if the pizza oven was off when they put them through, but mine was luke warm and completely cold in the middle. The accompanying custard was more like a shot to drink alongside, certainly not adequate amount for the crumble. We paid and left disappointed. The whole meal took 2.5 hours! It’s a shame because the setting was really nice.
