Fantastic stay at Villa Aurora rooms whilst I was in Rome.
My room was clean, comfortable, and well-furnished. Fully functional air conditioning (rather than those temperamental units in other places) really was a joy to come back to during the heat of a Rome summer.
But so far, I've just commented on some features of the room, rather than my experience here.
What will endure in my memory as I look back was the warm, classically no-nonsense Italian hospitality I had from Donatella.
Throughout my time here, she made sure I was well looked after with room cleaning, bottled water, towels etc.
But I most appreciate her assistance in terms of local knowledge. Local knowledge such as a good seafood restaurant , ”Trattoria del pesce” just down the road (which happens to also be in the Michelin guide); such as to not miss out on the Baths of Caracalla; and perhaps more trivially, but arguably also essential, where to do my laundry!
Thank you so much for making my stay here such a pleasure Donatella, and for adding both a new Italian word and outlook to my vocabulary - ”tranquilo”.

The service was excellent; they even messaged me a few days before to ask about my arrival time. The Asian gentleman who checked us in was super friendly and spoke great English. On our last day, he even helped us book a taxi. The location is amazing – just a short walk around the corner and you're at the fountains!

Darian JadeThe hostel's location is super convenient, really close to Termini train station, which is great for catching trains or buses to and from the airport. Plus, it's near attractions like the National Museum of Rome and Santa Maria della Vittoria, and you can walk to the Roman Forum in just about 15 minutes. The bathrooms are shared within each room and come with 2-in-1 shampoo/shower gel, plus communal foot mats that are changed daily. You have to make your own bed, and only the bottom bunks have curtains – and honestly, the sound of pulling those curtains can be a bit loud, especially when everyone else is trying to sleep. There's a small courtyard inside the hostel where you can relax or eat. All in all, it was a good experience.

This was an incredibly wonderful hotel. You could get coffee, and there was a kitchen just 10 minutes from the Colosseum. The service was perfect, and we were able to help you choose restaurants and attractions. We were fully responsive and answered any questions. We'll definitely be returning to this hotel.

Anonymous UserPros:
• Pool.
• Breakfast cafe served amazing croissants and hot chocolate.
• Pool bar staff were wonderful and friendly.
• Mini market.
• Shuttle that takes you to Cipro.
• Many staff members speak amazing english we hardly used Italian.
Cons:
• Not very close to the main city centre, everywhere we wanted to go was a 2 hour+ round trip, regardless of the shuttle taking you to the Vatican - every other landmark was a long way away.
• Pool bar food was awful and not fresh.
• Very thin walls.
• Toilet seat wobbled.
• Very small selection for buffet.
• Had trouble opening our windows.

It was a great stay here at Hotel Lodi. My partner and I are used to simple and modest places as we've been traveling across Europe so Hotel Lodi was everything we were looking for. The en suite was clean and came with good amenities like soap, body wash, and shampoo. And our room had a TV so we were able to relax and enjoy a show together every night. The Italian guy at the desk was super nice and funny. If you go there with a kind attitude, you'll surely receive the energy back. A few notes, I don't think there's an elevator there so this might not be great for people traveling with a ton of luggage. However my partner and I only had a large backpack each so it was good for us to make it up and down the stairs. Another fun thing to do get around town is the Lime Bikes all around the neighborhood. There were lots around Hotel Lodi it made the slightly inconvenient area of stay way more convenient.

CarolineRMThe place is really comfortable, easy to access, the bus to go to town stops almost in front of the village, and in 15min you are at the metro station. Really good value for money. I was there with my mom and grandmother, they enjoyed a lot, nice restaurant, mini market in the village, clean space and with everything that we need. I really recommend it!! Specially for families 😊

Anonymous UserAccommodation can be self check in , you can check in after 7:30 pm. The host sent the check-in guide on the same day, too late. He will give you a link to fill in the personal information for Online check-in.
Even if WhatsApp contacted him before check-in, he would not reply to the check-in information. Because I wanted to see if he could confirm before check-in, but he said that he would reply to the check-in information on the day of check-in.
If you still haven't received any information on the day of check-in, you can call WhatsApp or ask Trip.com customer service. The accommodation has three gates and keys, the gate of the building, the gate of the unit, and the door of the room.
The location of the room is convenient, there is a subway station in a few minutes, you can also walk to the Vatican attractions, and there are two supermarkets nearby. But the sound of the air conditioner and the water tank is very loud, because the room is very close to the bar on the ground floor on the second floor, and there will be noisy sounds at night. If people who are sensitive to sound are not recommended to stay.
The room has air conditioning, separate bathroom, kettle cup, refrigerator and hair dryer. Air conditioning is very good in hot weather!

The location is spot on! It’s not far to walk to anywhere from this hotel, there are many cafes and restaurants around so easy to find a lovely evening meal.
The breakfast was simple but I enjoy that. There was fruit, eggs, pastries, bread, coffee and juice laid out each morning.
The room is very basic and small. I understand that the pictures online and the rooms can vary, but this was very different to what we thought we had booked online. The balcony is very small and just a simple view of the nearby roofs. But the bed was extremely comfortable, I had a great nights sleep every night.
The reception staff were helpful with everything and gave us great advise about travelling around Rome.
This was a great place to stay if you’re only using to the room sleep.
