SSisitianshiThis guesthouse is super close to JR Nikko Station, just a 5-minute walk away. The buses to Toshogu Shrine also stop right by JR Nikko Station, making it incredibly convenient. The owner's wife was very welcoming; she first asked about my travel plans and then meticulously explained how to get everywhere, handing me maps and bus timetables for the next day. I stayed in a Japanese-style room on the second floor with a toilet nearby, and the shower room on the first floor was very clean and comfortable. The next morning, the owner's wife prepared a delicious and complimentary breakfast, giving us a real taste of local life. She even gave us an origami crane as a blessing... Her thoughtfulness and genuine hospitality offered a warmth that's different from staying in a regular hotel.

GGuest UserThis is an amazing hotel. You can take a bus from Kinugawa Station to get there. Both the food and the hot springs are worth a visit. The decorations in the hotel are not imitations made for tourists, but modern antiques. I would go to this hotel again for vacation.

TTL.TeddyWe were hosted by an elderly couple, and his family members. They were super cute, friendly and polite. It's like their small family business, ground floor was a western restaurant, second floor onwards were all the guest rooms. They know a bit of English, so the communication wise no issue at all. What we love about this stay is that other than the room with gorgeous lake view, the host was super helpful to allow us to store our luggage with them even way before our check-in timing. Furthermore he even offer to send us to the laundry shop, when we just casually ask him about the laundry. What actually surprised me the most, was that he even FETCH us from the laundry shop after we were done. Will definitely come back to this place again if I'm in Nikko! Thumbs up! Super host!! 😁

The old lady cooked a sumptuous breakfast and dinner every day. They were very delicious and I was very full after every meal. We were also very satisfied with the meal. Breakfast and dinner were very tasty and large, so during the day we didn’t even want to have lunch while walking. Everything in the room is clean and tidy. The place is quiet and beautiful. Nearby there is a large supermarket with everything you need. The bus stop to the waterfalls and lake is also very close. There is also a public onsen nearby, we had a good time there too.
