Excellent contemporary designed hotel, which was very clean and comfortable. There is an extensive selection of food for breakfast, which is good value. Ideal location for visiting the attractions of Lisbon, due to its close proximity to the Metro. The receptionists were all very helpful, particularly Alexander and Caroline, who are great ambassadors for the hotel.

The hostel's name says it all - this hostel is ideally located in the heart of Lisbon within walking distance of most of the major monuments the city has to offer. My girlfriend and I allocated 2 days to Lisbon and 1 to Sintra and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in one of the 8-bed dorms. The rooms and amenities of this hostel exceeded our expectations as our 1st foray into hostel traveling. The staff were extremely kind as well and were helpful in helping us plan an early morning (4 am) transport to the airport. There were a few small details we wish we could change. For one, we had a bit of bad luck in that one of our roommates was sick and spent most of the night coughing relentlessly keeping most members of our room awake. Additionally, despite meeting many friendly faces, the hostel did not feel as openly social as other hostels we stayed our throughout our two week Europe trip

The room is clean, and the shower is working in order. The breakfast at 9€ is value for money. Wish that the access to hot drinking water could be available at every room level. The screening of Live soccer games at the lounge is readily available. Nice.

GGuest User2022.10.04
We got a private room there cause we wanted our own space. Looked decent in the photos. When we arrived the room was quite dirty. Dirt on the walls, toothpaste around the sink and the towels we got had brown stains in it. We did not experience the privateness of our room because the bedroom door has a 2cm gap underneath it so all the stamps on the wooden floor and all the people coming and going (which was alot) along with the maintenace room next door felt like they were in our room. Alot of other smaller things like malfunction noises in the ventilation and very poor quality in the bed. “Breakfast included” was white bread, jam and coffee. BIGGEST PROBLEM is that the bathroom has alot of black mold in it. For example all around the shower and the shower glass and around the sink. After two nights we contacted the staff and told them about all these things listed above and we wanted to move out of that room and go somewhere else. So they told us that I had to send an email which would be forwarded to their supervisor, which I did. I checked upon them multiple times with calls, emails and direct conversation. Their supervisor, who was not there, would contact me which he never did. I am well aware this is not a 5 star accomodation but this is not ok in any accomodation that you pay for. I’ve been all around the world staying in allkinds of accomodations but this was my worst experience. Not only because of the room situation but because of the staffmembers who didnt even try to make things better by for example clean the room, offer us new towels offer us new bedroom. We paid 156€/night there. When the client points out things that are poor and could easily be fixed, just fix it and at least try to make them happy. WOT Lisbon Patio … Do better !

Please beware of Hotel DAH in Lisbon...the treatment and experience we endured at this hotel were so deplorable, unaccomodating, and unacceptable. We booked this hotel through ******* for 4 nights in Lisbon. Due to the size of our party, 2 adults and 3 children, this was the only option for our family to be in 1 room at the time. After arriving late to check in due to travel, the hotel was very unflattering as the pictures from Expedia's site as well as the hotel's website depicted a completely different image, a complete misrepresentation. In addition, travel sites indicate laundry facilities in which they did not have, only a pricey service that they contract out. As having never been to Lisbon and not knowing the neighborhoods, we were taken back by all of the graffiti on the adjacent abandoned building. The layout of the hotel is very small and bizarre, with an elevator that could not even fit our family and luggage. We booked the quadruple room in order to accommodate our family; however the hotel management informed us that we only made a reservation for 4, even after showing them proof. The hotel stated that anyone older than 12 is considered an adult, and we are only allowed 4 adults. Our children are 17, 14, 14. We were willing to pay the extra bed charge fee, even though we felt that this should have been handled between ******* and the hotel; however after the way we were treated we stated that we were not going to pay the extra bed fee. The General Manager later informed us after we had checked out, that the night attendant, who checked us in, will have to personally pay for the extra person as he did not request the $ from us at time of check-in. I find this very disturbing and disheartening that management would do this as he was the most pleasant person at the property. From being questioned the first night from staff as to why we were checking out the property, being treated like second class citizens from the night attendant (Sandra?), having our room key deactivated and not telling the truth as to why it was deactivated (was told that these things happen, but Nena (General Manager) admitted it was because we hadn't paid the nominal fee for the extra bed/person), and the overall feeling of being constantly watched, not welcomed, and unsafe, we decided to check out early. Nena, the GM, stated that irregardless of our awful experience, this was a non-refundable booking and will not credit us for the 2 nights we did not stay at Hotel DAH. Even ******* felt for our discomfort and assisted us in other ways that we are extremely grateful for. This experience took up quality family vacation time that we can not get back. Please think twice about staying at this property as this was the worst experience we have encountered in all of our years of travel. There were a multitude of other unpleasant experiences; however would take too much time to elaborate further. These disappointing experiences didn't seem to matter to the manager as it

The location of the hotel is very central and ideal for visitors. Located in a good area and in close proximity to restaurants, cafes, supermarkets etc. The facilities at the hotel are very basic. I personally feel they can upgrade their facilities. The lady who checked us in lacked customer service skills. However, the man who assisted us on check out was just the opposite and extremely helpful. It is such a delight when the staff go the extra mile.

I am deeply dissatisfied with the online booking service offered by Zenhotels. I made a reservation for what I thought would be a private room with 2 pets allowed and made a payment of 97 euros, which according to the booking confirmation received, was the total amount for the reservation. I was supposed to only pay 6 euros for the tourist tax and 10 euros per pet for the entire stay. Upon arrival at the hotel (WOT Lisbon Nomad), I was informed that the reservation I had made did not correspond to a private room and that in order to get one, I would have to pay an additional 234.51 euros on top of the already paid 97 euros (this would be for the upgrade to a private room + 10 euros per day per pet). Obviously, this news at the time of check-in and with such a price difference (more than three times the original value) makes it almost impossible for the customer to seek an alternative. Furthermore, I tried to explain to the hotel that the website was not very clear about private or shared rooms, as the room description did not indicate that it was shared. Additionally, it did not mention that the payment for the pets was per day rather than for the entire stay. The person responded that if the website did not have complete information, it was not the hotel's problem. I countered that if they were selling their services through third parties, they are just as responsible as the website promoting them to ensure that the information is accurate; otherwise, they are complicit in a scheme to deceive customers. Finally, I decided not to proceed with the proposal because I found it disrespectful, an excessive charge compared to the original offer, and unprofessional. Therefore, I feel that I was cheated out of the 97 euros that I paid and that I could not use the offered service.

I was extremely lucky to have noticed the sign for this amazing property on a late evening walk along the famous Avenida da Liberdade. I went up to ask if there was a single room for my last night in Lisbon two weeks later, before flying home. The two gentleman at the reception even offered to show me a room, and I booked through the hotel website. Best idea I had in a very long time. During my 24-hour stay, I dealt mostly with Bruno, but also occasionally with Victor; both were extremely gracious and helpful, as was the rest of the staff. On top of it all, the rate is, to say the least, very reasonable, and breakfast is included. I have recommended this exceptional property to everyone I know. A real gem.

Your location 28 reviews Victoria Vitalie I can honestly say, Haws Lisboa is about as close as you can get to perfection. They've thought through every detail and needs of their guests. The design is beautiful, functional and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond. (Kudos to their hiring staff too!) The cleanliness gets far beyond 5 stars. And the community workspace is also carefully designed to provide every need. I loved the outdoor communal space as well. It was hard to leave! Comfortable, clean and well run. The staff were helpful in clarifying travel issues such as the intermittent rail strike. Our room was good but the lift, although claiming to fit 4 people, is really big enough only for 2 and I think a sizeable hotel. should have more. On the plus side you can get up almost as early or late as you like, because the buffet breakfast is served from 6.30 a.m. to midday. And the dawn chorus of twittering birds outside the window is nice if you like that sort of thing. The hotel is not as central as its title implies and in the area there's a shortage of evening entertainment in the way of bars. A couple of good restaurants, the Churrascaria and the Hamro Ghar (Nepalese, would you believe!) serve good food and beer however.

GGuest UserHonestly, thats the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. There is AMAZING breakfast (for free) and even pancakes with lil faces on them (and trust me that makes ur mood for the day). Also there are daily little activities- movies, sangria for 1€ and free refills, the big boss lady cooks soup and pasta for everyone almost every night. I stayed for 5 nights and it was worth it! Also everyone is super friendly and kind. There’s nothing bad i can say! Compared to other hostels in Lisbon its out of range!

AAnna VichnevetskaiaThe hotel is in a perfect location. Close to everything but on a quiet street. It was clean and the shower was very good.
The rooms are tiny, it was ok for me alone but can be difficult if you have much luggage or more than one person.
The only thing that was a problem for me was that there is no kettle or fridge or breakfast. There is a cafe downstairs with a very basic and overpriced breakfast that only takes cash, so I didnt try it. I normally make my coffee in the morning before heading out but the only way to get hot water is in a machine downstairs that only takes coins. And I like to have snacks so not having a fridge was a inconvenient.
Otherwise, I'd highly recommend the place especially if you don't need breakfast and coffee right away when you wake up because it was my favorite location in Lisbon (I've stayed in 3 other ones before).

GGuest UserToday is my first night here but can already point many good things. Before my arrival, I communicated with the hotel and the responses were prompt and polite. I was able to leave my bags due to an early arrival, relax in the premises, was able to use the bathroom —even before check in. Though the room is small it is Europe so it meets my needs. It is clean and the necessities have been provided: shampoo, body wash, lotion, bar of soap. I will update if I have more to add, but definitely a place to recommend.

Ppika_parkThe toilet and shower are shared enough, and the hot water is good.
It is convenient to have a shared kitchen and washing machine.
Location is quiet as it is far from tourist spots
There are some bars and supermarkets around.
Metro and bus are close.
Clean for the price.
The key is quite old-fashioned, so if you are scared, you are ambiguous ...
And the room is very small ^^
But it's Lisbon for 66 euros, so it's a good value for money.
I'm a re-hospital doctor.
SStudentOverTheSeasstaffs are very welcoming. the location’s quite good as there’re supermarket, cafes and tram stations (line 28) nearby. the luggage storage is just putting your luggage on the floor, which feels not very safe. Also, someone who stayed there disturbed us RIGHT after 11pm saying that it’s the hostel’s resting time. but overall it was a good stay

SSmithA great location in Lisbon with very friendly staff. The location is less than a 5 minute walk to the blue/yellow metro line. I did find my room not cleaned to a high standard when I arrived, and as I had a shared bathroom with others it was sometimes not very clean but that is not the staffs fault that is the other guests. Nearby you have great restaurants cafes and you are right by the city centre to see some tourism attractions.

My brother and I stayed here for 4 nights in October booking several months in advance. I was concerned over numerous negative reviews and planned to book something else. Options shrank as it got closer to our trip so we just decided to keep this reservation. My primary reason for choosing Duas Nacoes was its location; in a pedestrian zone right in the middle of the central district. The Baixa-Chiado metro station which serves the green and blue lines was a 7 minute walk. Rossio Square is an 8 minute walk. Praça do Comércio was a 5 minute walk. The Santa Justa Elevator is right around the corner. You get the point. For better or worse you're right in the middle of the action come night time. There are street vendors, outdoor cafes, souvenir shops, drug dealers selling hash, bakeries, beggars, and they all want your money. We both found the hotel very clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was adequate but an open window felt nice. I booked a triple room and the space was great. The bathroom was plenty big and the water was hot which was appreciated. It also had a bidet. Don't know if it's just our toilet but one must press the button and keep it pressed until enough water flushes, usually a few seconds or so. I will say that whatever the maids clean the floors with is very, very strong. Not in a foul way, but it lingered long after they left. The mattresses and pillows were comfortable so naps and sleep were easy. Drapes helped. Occasionally you'll hear loud music coming from outside, but remember; you're in the middle of the action. If a little city noise doesn't bother you though it's no problem. Just a friendly note: Unless you're a parent with kids, you'll likely be approached by a man whispering ”hash? *********? coke?” A simple no does the job. Not the hotel's fault, of course, but just wanted to put it out there. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. They all spoke great English. You can keep your luggage there until check in so you're able to sightsee. The construction that previous reviewers mentioned is long gone. One quirky thing is the elevator/lift. It can only hold one person at a time. We were instructed to either ride solo or send our luggage up/down but not both. The elevator has sensors that stop it if tripped. I myself got trapped once and my luggage tripped the sensor on checkout day. It's on the slow side and you may find yourself just taking the stairs most of the time. We had breakfast once here. A few cold cuts, juices, coffee, hot bar with eggs, bacon, yogurt, fruit, that sort of thing. Compared to the other hotels we stayed at it was OK. It was convenient for us the morning we checked out but at €10 the cafes nearby provided better value and food. We were allowed to refill our water bottles in the breakfast room which was appreciated. The hotel can arrange airport transfer for €20. We elected to do this the morning we checked out and waited around in the dining room after breakfast. About 7 minutes aft

The employees are very kind.
There are several supermarkets nearby. You can make a simple meal using kitchen microwave, IH cooking heater and kettle.
You can walk to the main attractions in Lisbon. There are a lot of homeless around, but there is no problem in particular. It is peaceful.
Metro station, bus, tram, all in a convenient location. The room rate is cheap.
