Marissa Resort Sazanseto Suo-Oshima

I stayed for one night from Sunday, July 21st in room 327, a "Deluxe Twin Ocean View" on the third floor. I had heard that the hotel had been renovated into a luxury resort by inviting a manager with experience in foreign hotels, so I had high expectations, but it could have been better. There are limitations to renovating an existing building, and I couldn't help but feel that the target customer base was not very well-defined. [About the guest room] The 42m2 guest room was very spacious, with blue interiors inspired by the sea, giving it an open and bright feel. There was a free minibar, carefully selected bath amenities, and other amenities, but there were some things that could have been better, such as the lack of lighting in the closet, the lack of bathrobes, the limited number of towels for a resort hotel, and the need for a bag to put wet items in. The view from the room was amazing, with the beautiful Suo-Nada Sea and islands, and I was able to sit on the sofa by the window and relax. What bothered me was that the corridor leading to the guest rooms was as hot as a steam bath, and the elevators and corridors were still designed like old family hotels, so it felt old. [About the public areas] The lobby when you enter the hotel is amazing and luxurious, but the indoor pool is like a children's playground, and the beach is not a private beach, so there are no chairs or umbrellas, and it is no different from a public beach. The all-inclusive service was quite good, and there were many things such as snacks in the welcome lounge, evening lounge service, and after-bath lounge service. The hot spring spa was clean, and the indoor bath, open-air bath, and sauna had a calm atmosphere and were very comfortable. What bothered me was that although we arrived early and left our luggage at the hotel, we had to pick it up at check-in time and carry it to our room ourselves. I wish they had at least brought it to our room. [About the meals] Dinner was a full-course French meal, which was of very high quality and tasted good, but I wish it was a little more substantial. Breakfast was a buffet, and both Japanese and Western dishes were delicious, but I wish there was something more to see, such as a live kitchen. [Overall review] The view is amazing and it's a good hotel for experiencing something out of the ordinary. In terms of value for money, it's good for people living in nearby prefectures, but if you ask me whether it's worth traveling all the way from far away, I'm not sure.

従業員の方のサービスはとても良かったのですが、服装が少し気になりました。 何となくだらしなく着ている方が‥ 素敵なホテルなのでスッキリ清潔感のある服装であれば気持ちよかったかな。

部屋の目の前にお茶の段ボールの山と掃除道具が終日丸見え　がっかりの滞在スタート　ドリンクバーから飲み物は持ち出せず他人が焼いたししゃもの匂いを嗅ぎながらワインを飲む笑なぜ？だが朝のドリンクは持ち出し可　サービスのアイスを勧められるが在庫は無し笑　朝風呂ではサウナも電源入れ忘れ使用不可　check out の時に諸々伝えたが特にサービスもなく気をつけますとのこと　リラックスリゾートとは程遠い　値段ほどのホテルではない
