We were passing through on our way from Georgia to Ontario and stayed in a very comfortable room in the main building. We also had dinner at the restaurant and the menu was excellent and the food was terrific. If you stay make sure you eat in the restaurant

The Elk River Hotel and Cafe is a charming, comfortable place with an excellent cafe and very hospitable Innkeepers. This was our second stay there, and we will definitely be back!

Aaron and Jill are exellent at what they do. They make sure that our visit at the hotel was fantastic. We had an incredible time staying in one of the outside tents. Watching the morning sunrise with the view of the river and all the houses and trees on the opposite side of the street was breathtaking. We heartily endorse this establishment.

We stayed in the Carriage House, with a view of the river. This lovely Inn is located near the end of a quiet street, and has a nice cafe/restaurant on the first floor of the historic main house. We had a delicious dinner as well as breakfast the next morning. The Innkeepers are engaging and friendly. I’m sure we will be back.

This is a very unique location with tons of history and great hotel amenities. Hiking, walking is readily accessible. Cool spot!
