Hotel have airconditioning which is very rare during march un shanghai, heated floors, heated toilets, with balcony, windows cant be open though. Outside the hotel is the famous street on shantang. Very nice place . Breakfast is not ok though , they have complimentary drinks though and the ambiance of the hotel is perfect for photoshoot

Staffs are really friendly to help, specially thanks to Ms. Xu at front desk. Strategic location if you wish to visit Shantang Street, all scenic spots are just nearby walking distance.

An unexpected gem of a hotel, located smack in the middle of a bustling street full of curios, delicious food and sights. Once you step inside, get transported back to ancient China history. The noise from the street disappears into peace and tranquil. Feeling like living in a kungfu movie hotel, with very nice decor and furnishing. Choose the 2 storey, 2 bedroom villa, if in a group. Lots of Instagram backdrop and ancient settings. Service from front desk and Mr Shu (or Xue) is very good. Great place for older folks or nostalgic guests. Wanting to soak in the ancient days of living.

Hotel design is stunning and service is perfect. Great location as it is in tourist spot of Suzhou. Highly recommend to have a try!

Excellent experience to stay in this hotel… compare to the city hotel, this hotel got the suzhou cultural feeling and their staffs are very friendly and polite… i will come and stay again if i coming to Suzhou again… the location also beat for vacation altot u need to walk thru busy streets and car cannot enter but it is still very convenient and not very far for walking.

Suzhou is really beautiful. The beauty of the gardens cannot be captured in photos. The hotel is located in the Shantang scenic area, and there are views everywhere. It is very close to the Lingering Garden. Each room is an independent courtyard. The hotel housekeeper Xiao Mao is also very thoughtful and enthusiastic. The complimentary cruise ticket is worth it. The night tour is beautiful. Next time I will try another room type.

The hotel is quiet in the bustling city, with a completely Su-style garden style. The rooms are very quiet, the restaurant is very delicious, there is Pingtan at night, the service staff are gentle and warm, and the hotel is particularly artistic, with scenery everywhere. If you want to stay in a scenic area and have quality, you must try this hotel.

The hotel is in a great location, convenient for visiting Qilishantang. The room is clean, tidy and comfortable. The environment outside the courtyard is beautiful, with pavilions, bridges and flowing water, and complete facilities for playing chess, calligraphy and painting. The service is warm and thoughtful, and the breakfast is delicious. The driver is warm and thoughtful, helping to drag the luggage, sending us to the scenic spots for free, and explaining the history of the gardens and the humanities of Suzhou to us. He is a very good driver. When checking out, I gave a souvenir, Qingtuan and water writing brush and ink. Thank you very much. I will stay here again next time I come to Suzhou

We booked the Tanhua Building. The room was very comfortable and clean, with two living rooms and two bedrooms downstairs in the building. There was also a courtyard and a balcony. The whole hotel environment was antique and full of Jiangnan gardens. The waiters were all very nice. They were soft-spoken and answered all my questions. They provided umbrellas on rainy days. They even had breakfast when they arrived at ten o'clock. They gave L'Occitane as a gift before leaving. If I left a cup, they helped me send it back to the hotel. The hotel’s Chinese restaurant specializes in special dishes, including Soviet-style dim sum, especially the crispy beef snowflakes, which are very delicious, tender and crispy! All in all, I will come here again with family and friends in the future.

I really like this hotel. It feels like traveling through time and space. The location is on Shantang Street. I went out shopping by myself at night after the children were asleep and didn't come back until 11 o'clock. It felt like I was at home here and I was truly integrated into the a**osphere. The hotel staff are also very considerate. They contacted me one day in advance to tell me about the temperature, weather, and how to get around by subway or car. This is really helpful for us foreign tourists. Because the car cannot drive into Shantang Street, it is difficult to check in and check out. The housekeeper will pick you up and help you carry your luggage when you leave the house, which is very user-friendly.

The overall environment is impeccable. I booked a one-bedroom room. The housekeeper Xiao Xu contacted me to confirm the order in advance. I told him that I was traveling with my old mother. My old mother likes to sleep alone. Please prepare a quilt for me and I will sleep on the sofa. When I arrived at the hotel, he left me a duplex villa, which really surprised me. One floor per person. The hotel is Chinese in style, with winding paths. The scenic spot is just outside the door, and it is quiet in the hustle and bustle. There are snacks, tea, coffee, drinks, and fruits in the room. My mother repeatedly confirmed that it was free, hahaha, free, free. Before leaving, my old mother took away everything she could eat and drink. I'm really sorry. My old mother asked if she would be fined, and I said it was okay, no. I won't let you know even if it is. 😅😅😅When leaving the hotel, the housekeeper took the room card and said it was OK. My old mother was surprised and said, don't you check the room? Hahaha.
