Location was 8min drive from station. It was the newest and most modern hotel in zhiben I feel. It could be 5star standards. The hotel comes with the hot spring which was a really good highlight of trip. I try hot spring in zhiben out in town and it wasn’t better than the hotel’s. That’s how nice it was. Breakfast was repetitive. Can be improved with more varieties for consecutive days. Room was perfect. Clean, big and comfortable bed. This is my first and only choice to stay in zhiben.

The proprietress is very kind and patient to answer any questions. The decoration of the homestay is very beautiful and Greek, and the room is clean and comfortable. Very recommended, praise!

It was a great experience. The popcorn was provided for free. The children enjoyed their meal very happily. We forgot that disposable supplies were no longer provided. The lady at the counter was still very enthusiastic and brought us the supplies without having to pay. Thank you very much. There were not many breakfast items. But it was no problem to eat. This time, the two children were not feeling well and did not have to eat inside. The front desk staff was very considerate and gave us lunch boxes to take back to the room for the children to eat. The toilets in the rooms are clean and comfortable. Although the furnishings are old, and the first time you enter the door, there will be a small wet smell. The overall accommodation feels very good. The toilet is better than the picture, the home-style tiles, the bathtub is clean, but it may be space related, and I don't particularly want to take a bath. The swimming pool is big, palm, swimming pool, open-air soup pool, not losing to high-end hotels; of course, the length of the long swim is not enough, but playing in the water and rushing the SPA is enough. We booked 3 4-person rooms for a family trip. The staff at the front desk had a good attitude, the beds were moderately soft and hard, and they were clean. The hot spring pools and swimming pools were also very clean. The adults could relax in the hot springs, and the children had fun playing in the water. The resort has a large green hinterland, and you can see the greenery when you look up. The mountains are beautiful and you can take a leisurely walk after dinner. It is a hot spring resort worth staying in! Dinner at Mama Tian’s Restaurant is very affordable. We, 7 adults and 1 child, ordered 7-8 dishes for 2,000 yuan. However, the only drawback is that breakfast is limited to 50 minutes, so we can’t dine leisurely! There is also an agricultural product hall next to the 7-11 at the entrance of the resort that collects products from farmers’ associations from all over Taiwan, so you don’t have to worry about souvenirs at all! It would be a pity not to play hard when you come to the resort, but to relax and check out at 11 o'clock!

This should be my third time staying at Zhiben Laoye. The high-quality hot springs, rich natural ecological environment, and high-level services here are the reasons why we chose to spend the New Year here this time. We even watched a flying squirrel fly from the mountain into the tree next to the venue during the New Year's Eve party and stay there for a long time. In the lottery of the New Year's Eve party, the prizes ranged from the most luxurious master suite to the general double room prizes, and the prizes appeared at least 3 or 4 times. This is a very sincere prize arrangement. But there were two regrettable things that happened during this trip. First of all, when we checked in, maybe because of the New Year holiday, the housekeeping staff were overburdened and made some mistakes in cleaning the rooms. When we checked in, there were obvious stains on the sheets in one room. In another bathroom, the bath towels in the drawer where large bath towels are placed are scattered, and there is obvious dust on the bottom of the drawer. Another drawer had remnants of long hair. Although after contacting the housekeeping staff, they immediately apologized and replaced the room, but it was always a bit surprising. The biggest problem occurred in the afternoon of the second day after we checked in. There were five of us except me, who did not go to the swimming pool because of a wound on my hand. The other four people went to the outdoor pool to swim, and all four people came into contact with the floating board. That night, small, itchy red spots began to appear on the area where the float was in contact. The number and severity became more severe the longer the float was used, and it even affected sleep. But I, who did not go to play in the water, was not affected. After checking out and returning home the next day, I was still extremely itchy. I plan to seek medical treatment after get off work today. This is the biggest regret of this trip.

The Cp value is high, the location is okay, the lively places in Taitung are within walking distance, there are many delicious food nearby, and the staff are quite friendly. It can be considered for backpackers with a low budget.
