If you want to eat something you have to drive half an hour to Takayama or buy their dinner expensively.
They charge the maximum price for the spa, 500 yen per person per day even if it is not used. Other hotels do not charge this "tax" if you do not use it.

The other guests also had their dogs with them so we had a great time. The food was delicious, the bath was private and the view was great. I'd love to stay here again.

The staff were very kind and we had a comfortable stay. The food was also quite tasty. If I had to say one thing, it would be better if the dog run was divided into large, medium and small.

The service staff was very friendly and the food was good too.
The hot spring facilities were also great, and we were able to take a bath with our dog (though the bathtub is separate), so it was a very fulfilling experience.

The hotel was clean and the service was good. We were also able to dine with our dogs and had a wide range of pet food options available. It was a very comfortable hotel compared to the usual hotels that allow pets but have many restrictions.

It was nice that they had a bath where you could take your dog and a menu for dogs.
The price was a bit high for the Obon holiday, but the room was comparable to that of a regular business hotel.

As there is a bath building with an open-air bath and other facilities, perhaps not many people use the room baths, but there are some who have no choice but to use the room baths.
The room bath (which is a unit) was covered in grime and very dirty.
I think the attention to detail in each step adds up to the whole, so it's understandable that people would think there were other areas where they were cutting corners. The staff were very friendly, so I felt it was a shame.
