A beautiful location, nice room, great balcony and amazing view of the town below, the bay and Etna. Clean and fair price. Unkind staff, cold and snooty. We found the breakfast expensive for what it offered

Greta is absolutely lovely, we had the loveliest room with stunning views of the town and mt etna. Obviously it’s on a hill…. It’s the slope of a volcano!! The walk down to the town is really straightforward and you can either walk back up or there’s a taxi rank by the excelsior hotel if you don’t fancy it. The staff were all really pleasant and the breakfast was great, plus if you’re driving you can find somewhere to park because you’re just a little above the town. I’d absolutely stay there again, some of the previous reviews are totally unfair…. Sicily is amazing and Greta is spotlessly clean and a really great place to stay, I thoroughly recommend it.

This place has hundreds& hundreds of steps to get to it. 700?..) from Corso Umberto the Main Street & should you think of walking back after dinner YOU WILL GET LOST as those tiny vias/ alleys and steps look similar ( even though I took photos).. many hotels l around Teatro Greco are brilliant and cheaper .. the management were sour tempered, BRUSK, did not have inclination to give information.it no good pointing your finger & saying” it’s easy, down there” where is there??? If you have never been at that place.. Could not assist with luggage. Accommodation below standard ,,you pay for view. Many cheaper places have great views e.g Taormina Park Hotel & better location

Invited to a wedding, the bride and groom choose this hotel to welcome us guests. I contact the hotel which tells me they don't have our names on the list, I ask for explanations and they assure me that they will take care of clarifying the situation, in the meantime, considering the imminence of the wedding (5 days after) I tell the hotel to reserve a room pending this clarification, in this circumstance they ask me for my card details, reassuring me that it was the practice and that any payment due would take place at the hotel.. The next day the bride contacts me telling me that everything was ok and that we had been included among the guests of the wedding in a quadruple room which we actually used. A FEW DAYS LATER I FIND ON MY CARD A CHARGE OF 66.50 FROM THE HOTEL VILLA GRETA! I call for clarification and I am told that it was a penalty for not having canceled the room in time!!! it was their incompetence to handle a problem because the clarification regarding our reservation took place the day after the reservation!! As far as I'm concerned, an unauthorized withdrawal remains! CONGRATULATIONS for the SERIOUSNESS!

I stayed with my partner in May 2022 and our experience was discreet. Upon check-in, the receptionist showed us the room which we found as being left by the previous guest. The room was immediately "cleaned" but, after about 1 hour and 30 minutes, it was lacking cleanliness. In the shower there were hairs and hair, there were shampoo and shower products and toilet paper already used. When communicated to the receptionist, the boy wanted to check the truthfulness of what was reported, coming to check in the room, before providing us with the bathroom kit. The bathroom was uncomfortable, the bidet was not usable due to its position and the toilet seat had a toilet seat that only opened at 45° therefore, if you wanted to use the bathroom, the toilet seat rested on your back. It should be noted that we did not receive any apologies or special attention after what was said, indeed the staff sometimes lacked friendliness. Positive note: dinner was pleasant.

Strategic position. The view ranges from the blue sea to snow-covered Etna. Kind and helpful staff. the kitchen is excellent. Cozy room, thorough cleaning. 10 minutes from the center. Many stairs must be trained.

Abbiamo scelto Villa Greta grazie ad uno smartbox.Non poteva essere regalo più gradito. L’hotel ha una vista mozzafiato sull’Etna e con 10 minuti a piedi si arriva direttamente a Taormina. Una scalinata collega la struttura al centro. Per noi non è mai stato un disagio perché la vista dalla stanza è stato un plus della vacanza. Il personale è stato sempre molto disponibile ad ogni nostra richiesta ed informazione. Ultima cosa…. La colazione super! Le torte di Giulia le ricorderemo!!! Non lasciatevelo sfuggire!!!!
