In Targu Jiu we were in need of accommodation and the hotel I've booked is the Ramada. Very new hotel - only opened last year - situated a bit far from the center , but very quiet, with a generous parking lot in front. Check in - check out went very easy , the front desk staff very helpful and doing a very good job. Room we had was fairly big, more than enough for 2, very clean, comfortable bed, big screen TV , should you need it, strong Wi-fi (for free) , coffee corner - for those lazy mornings, in the closed you have a small safe if you need, air conditioning to adjust to the summer heat. Minibar was loaded with all kind of drinks - prices, just a bit higher than average - but not prohibitive. Bathroom spacious - should you need anything it is there (shampoo, lotion, conditioner) - and very clean. Breakfast at the hotel, a good selection of options, with the refill speed the staff needs to catch up - a lot of empty trays seating around in the display for too long. Pool access ridiculously expensive (however if you book directly on Ramada site is included - don't get why the double standard , if you book via different site you shall pay the entrance fee ... whatever). A decent prince to quality ratio - with minor items here and there , but nothing to really complain about. Overall a very good hotel , and very new in Targu Jiu - whenever in need of accommodation I recommend you try this hotel.
