Tel Aviv City Center
Business trip, the hotel is quite big, but every layer seems to have a black dog inside, because the night lights are dark, watching scared, a little infiltrating. About 20km from Tel Aviv airport. Taxi uniform price 180 shekel

This is a great little hotel in the center of Tel Aviv. It’s walking distance to the Central bus station. It has a distinct black an red decor and we found it really cute and different from many other boring interiors. The included breakfast is at a great Arcafé, about 3 minute walk from the hotel. The rooms are very recently renovated, very modern HVAC and efficient controls, built in USB charging ports throughout the room. But what makes this hotel stand out is the most friendly and welcoming team: Yuval, Lala, Hayk, Yoni, and Itamar. In addition to helping us with all the requests around the hotel, they are experts in local attractions and recommended great places for dining and shopping. (Tip: the restaurant Samarkand is a great place for some super tasty food!)

Good service, comfortable (great ac) and clean, well maintained. Hotelnis certainly budget but better than I had expected given the edgy/transition neighborhood. Cafe downstairs tried hard but nothing like the Tel Aviv quality I came to expect.

The room is ok, the facilities are older, the apartment can not cook, only the microwave. The location is relatively close to the train station, but the area is a black slum area. Don't return too late at night. Many black people roaming the streets at 7 o'clock look like streets. For this location, the price is very cheap

If you do not expect too much luxury, it can be good place for you. Just for sleeping (very comfortable bed, linen nice in touch ;) ), taking hot shower (remember to turn on the boiler 10 minutes before shower; otherwise the water will be not cold, but not warm too), use internet (very well-working WiFi in the room) and rest. The quarter have very bad reputation, the area is poor and very neglected, but I think there is nothing to worry about - in my opinion it looks more dangerous than it is, and very quiet in the night. On one hand the location is very bad (if you look for aesthetic and clean surroundings), on the other - very good (close to train and bus station, 20 minutes walking distance to the city center or to Levinsky Market, where you can find very good, local, cheap food). Hint: you'd better take your own towels. The ones available in the room are probably clean, but old and stained. Basic cosmetics (shower gel, shampoo, body lotion) also available.

I stayed at this hotel for 11 days as I was working in the area and didn't need or want to be in tourist area. The immediate area is busy with car and motorbike garages but that wasn't an issue for me. There are coffee shops and supermarkets in close vicinity to meet your needs. Sarona market and a large Designer Mall are just a short walk away. There are buses that will take you into Tel Aviv and the beaches. If you're brave you could take a scooter. I had a room only booking so can't comment on the breakfast, although it sounded pricey at 80 NIS a head. I had a fridge, coffee machine and kettle in my room, so I could purchase snacks for my own consumption. The hotel provided coffee, coffee capsules, tea bags of different sorts, water bottle and paper cups. They were happy to provide me with milk, but I purchased my own and kept it in the fridge. There was no hotel restaurant open the rest of the day, but you could use Wolt to deliver! My room was on 6th floor and had a balcony. The bedroom had a double bed which was very comfortable, a desk, large TV with multiple channels and Netflix and YouTube options. There was aircon, so it was easy to sit in doors for the day and work. The bathroom had a shower, toilet and sink, which were all clean and useable, there was a strange smell that I couldn't locate but it wasn't too problematic. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion were all available as well as clean small and large towels. I only managed to get to the rooftop pool a couple of times. The space is small and there are sunbeds and chairs. Opening times are limited to 10.30-5pm although I am aware that people were using it at other times. Clean pool towels are available with changing rooms and toilets. There is a bar although it wasn't open when I visited. The only issues were that there were no clothes hanging space, only a set of drawers instead I used the hooks in the bathroom to hang my work dresses. Also I had an electric failure of plugs for fridge and coffee machine/kettle - the staff moved these into the bedroom with the promise that this would be fixed and resited. This did happen, so I was happy that they kept their word. There is a safe in the room which is free to use. The cleaners came everyday, sometimes I was working in my room, but they were polite and friendly, so I want to say thank you for their hard work I was very happy at Jo Hotel, some staff were friendlier than others but I had little dealings with them most of the time. They were responsive if I did have any issues.
