"We booked a hotel in advance to spend the weekend on a wonderful beach. Upon arrival in Myanmar, we discovered that the roads and entry points into the state were closed, making it impossible for us to get there. I wrote to the hotel a few days beforehand and asked for a refund, but they refused. Maybe we should be more humane? The situation wasn't our fault."
