Allamanda Beach Hotel

The hotel is right on the beach although only one block has views of the sea. There are cafes and bars nearby and the supermarket is very close. The pool was clean and the staff were very friendly. One bag of coffee is provided each day but there is no kettle. The description did not mention there was a fridge so this was a nice surprise. Free ice is provided from a machine. The wi fi strength was good. Taxis from the airport cost ECD 50. There are no facilities at the hotel as the restaurant was closed and there wasn’t a bar.

We were very happy with our choice of hotel. A bargain for the perfect location next to the beautiful, quiet beach and the swimming pool that we often had to ourselves. The room was lovely and we especially enjoyed chilling on our balcony. A negative point might be the lack of restaurant but we were happy to make the short walk to Umbrellas beach bar nearby for delicious, good value food. I should also mention the public park next door as one night this hosted a event that was so loud the walls were shaking until midnight but this was a one off (the staff ensured us this was a rare occurrence and moved us to a quieter room) and the rest of our staff was peaceful. In summary, I would not hesitate to book this hotel again.

The property is located on the beach , and within walking distance to a mall and a number of resturants. The beach detracted from the dated property. It could use a bit of attention.

Very close to Grocery store, shopping and restaurants , excellent location on Grand Anse beach. Very clean and well looked after grounds. Staff very friendly.

I liked that the property was close to the beach, nearby restaurants, food trucks, a supermarket and transportation was very easy to access when needed. My Dislikes: No dining options/restaurants, the common area to the microwave needs updating, very dated rooms, rooms where not sound proof, which made it hard to sleep at night when people are partying outside. Mosquitoes in the room, cameras by the pool site was not working and guest wasn't aware, until my belongings was stolen and I asked management to review the cameras to see what happened to my stuff. I was told the cameras was down and they couldnt do anything about my belongings going missing, this was so unprofessional. Another incident was when the front desk receptionist sent a man i do not personally know to my room without first calling me to get my permission to do so. This was very scary especially since i was in the shower with my 3year old, just to hear a strange voice at my door saying room service, mind you it was not room service it was the man front desk allowed up to my room without calling me to get permission first, pretending to be room service. So ladies be careful especially when traveling alone or with small kids, because not all staff are doing their job the right way. This receptionist put my life and my little ones life at risk, doing something like that. This was very unprofessional, the hotel manger need to have updated classes to go over the do's and don't so this dont happen again.

This is beach front and accessible to the IGA mall beach front restaurants . Though it does not have a restaurant the price is right and very accommodating staff!

Could I say excellent twice, it deserve 10. very nice experience staying there. with most hospitality of the colleagues provided family-like warm and conveniences.thank you, owners

The hotel is a little dated but the service from the staff was second to none. Thanks to Wendy for being very accommodating.

I came for the beach...and WOW what a great beach it is! I did a last minute booking for New Years and grabbed a room here as everything was booked up. The hotel is old and the rooms could use a good amount of updating but everything is fairly well maintained. The rooms AC worked great which is a must in Grenada. The staff were all excellent. The grounds are immaculate and did I mention the beach? Its incredible! There is no restaurant or room service on the property so you need to leave the hotel for meals. There is a grocery store right across the street so picking up food, wine and beer for the room is easy. I've stayed at a better resort on this very beach but if you're on a budget you'll do ok here.
